Seriously KO, get yo ass back in Anime-GAF asap. You can read my Yami To Boshi To Hon No Tabitito impressions.
I would put that on my list of anime of the forevers.

Maybe the first list was destiny.
11. Kamisama Kiss ; Kamisama Hajimemashita~
Hawt.
This doesn't make that much sense to me. Mathematically what difference does it make? People who vote more shows doesn't make their lists more or less important than people who vote one show. The aim is to find the anime of the year. So maybe everyone should just have ONE vote!
Thanks. lolI like you.
I really should start watching space brothers, but the backlog D:
Even on the level of waifuism, the show is terrible because of how it tries to manipulate an emotional response out of he viewer during the final arc.Lol I didnt notice he posted that before.
I hate it as much as he does, except I did like silica and Lisbeth. Except the show saw fit to completely ignore them. So fuck that show.
It had to be said!Damn firehawk. Cold-blooded.
Even if I WAS WRONG initially. I bet my post made more people vote for the movie. My work here is done.I'm starting to get the feeling that Lafiel either hates you guys or can't read. I'm gonna go with both.
Fuck Japan award[/U]: Sword Art Online. This is the worst show ever to have been produced by a culture. Take the solipsism of The Newsroom, the depravity of K-Town or any other reality show of that ilk, and the sad humanity exhibited exhibited in shows like Honey Boo Boo and you'd STILL get a show that is morally, ethically, and spiritually more justifiable than Sword Art Online. The bar has been set so low that I can even see merit in a show like OniAi. Fuck you SAO... just fuck you.
Me three!

You all are silly.
I think any fan of SAO would have ejaculated into the folds of theirAll I read is the sexual anger a human wishes they could unleash on SAO if it were a human. All this talk of morality is the rhetoric people who hunger for rage sex spew. Just put it as your number one, learn some stretching exercises and finish yourself off and everyone will be happy: A well-deserving show will win and you can break out of the rigid prison of the mind you're in.

Pretty much everyone in this thread has an anime character as their avatar. I had no idea Anime-gaf was so active!

1. Kill Me Baby
Up there as one of the finest comedy shows of all time. As a Brit you know I know what I'm talking about. Ronnie Corbett even said he wished he wrote the show.
2. AKB0048
A real inspiration during this time of economic difficulty. Like the Full Monty before it, it shows a group of downbeat citizens of a North English town (Lancaster to be precise) who have a dream to be the next big thing. Despite society being against such ideals they strive to achieve this and spread joy around the world. Brought hearts to my eyes.
3. Sword Art Online
A revolution in story telling. The concept it simple, what if you were trapped in a game where you could die. Stripped of all the harmless fun and now forced to battle for survival, the characters throughout the show struggle with harsh moral judgements and often have to question the ethics behind their decisions. Does one leave weaker players behind in order to escape faster or do you stay behind and accept this new life so your life in not danger from battle. Meanwhile you see snapshots of the real world and how people are coping with their loved ones being lost in a coma and the police force franticly hunting for the mastermind behind this devilish scheme.
4. Upotte!!
A real thought provoking show. It focuses of a group of friends at school and how their lives are changed when the local area becomes a war zone. The issue of child soldiers is a very serious one and I felt this show truly captured how horrific this life can be.
5. Lupin III: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna
Everyone loves Lupin and it's great to see him still kicking around in 2012. May not appeal to those who are new to the series but for long term fans this is a real return to form.
6. Mirai Nikki
Award for one of the best protagonists of the year. Clever and confident, you really get to like this guy. His life is put in danger but he manages to keep his head up and get on with it. They also manage to strike a fine balance so he doesn't come off as cocky. Really hits the nail on the head.
7. Saki: Achiga-hen episode of side-A
A tournament show based on one of the most interesting sports in the world. Don't want to spoil it for you but the ending is worth it. Girls Und Panzer could learn a thing or two from this about not cutting a tournament short.
8. Nyaruko-san: Another Crawling Chaos
It's a comedy show that does admittedly relies a bit on references but unlike lesser shows like Gintama the references are clever and not in your face. The original jokes are the main focus and boy are they funny.
9. Psycho-Pass
Sci-Fi + thriller is a pretty common theme but for once you feel the writers understand the technology they are talking about. Also unlike a lot of sci fi thrillers that paint the world as a real morbid place where violent gore in the norm this delves into psyche of the average citizen under the watch of Big Brother.
10. Another
I'm not usually a fan of horror, but for once the characters felt intelligent and the mystery was captivating. Also as a bonus it was designed to scare you physiologically rather than relying on cheap thrills and gore. Rips the rule book in two.
10) K ; Stylish, experimental, colorful, strong soundtrack. The only thing truly missing is a plot.
Honorable Mentions: Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, Hyouka
You know, I totally forgot about Aquarion EVOL. No love for EVOL at all here.
Did you just give me a signature, motherfucker?! lolWhy limit it to Asuna?

Is it really that bad?
Look Anime-GAF, you can't title a thread "Batman, now with more wings" and have it be a bad show, that's just cruel. I've only watched the first episode so far though
Yeah, it's horrible. It makes every single harem show ever made seem like high art by comparison. Imagine Genshiken and Welcome to the NHK without any self awareness and irony. Yuck.Is it really that bad?

lolObviously Firehawk is tsundere for it and won't admit his true feelings. Why don't you make up for his shortfall and vote for it as your number one show. You've seen at least one episode so you qualify.

Careful, firehawk12. Have you forgotten how the internet works? Perhaps in a normal conversation you'd be putting people off the show, but what you're actually doing it is selling it to people. You're actively encouraging people to see how terrible it really is!
It turns Campione into high art? Well now I have to watch it...
NHK has that FF11 arc that is exactly like SAO. But NHK shits on people who plays games. Please dont drag good shows like genshiken and NHK into shit discussion about SAO.
Damn... It's too late!

Firehawk's view is a bit more extreme than everyone else's. The consensus in anime gaf is it has a great concept, some very nice and well animated action, and an expansive and pretty world, all while having shoddy writing and a poorly developed cast with a Gary Stu lead.
If that sounds appealing to you, still watch it.
Damn... It's too late!
Tsuritama seems to be on a lot of lists - any news of when this will get a BD release in North America?
Guys. Guilty Crown. Now that's bad, that's shit. That's the horrible abomination. SAO merely stuttered a bit in the second half, it's no where close to being a bad show. Let's not go hyperbole.
