I would love to hear a well-reasoned argument against incest when it's consensual, both parties are happy, no procreation is involved, and no one is being cheated on. An argument besides "ew, gross!" I mean. But that's probably a topic for another thread.

Updates or additional confessions aren't a big deal but if your update is just to say "lol I will" "haha how r u" and shit like that, there's no reason to not just make an account and post normally.

I have a suspicion that the confessor would know better than any of us whether consent is mutual, so that point is unfounded IMO. Regarding it not being statistically normal, that argument has been used to discourage all sorts of perfectly healthy things (e.g. homosexuality), so it also makes me uncomfortable.
I'm not in love with the sequential confessions either, but a lot of people seem to like them and ultimately it's not a big deal. Maybe I'm just noticing a vocal minority in favor of them, though.

If incest could be justified, we would not have had the idea of "family" and order in our society anymore. We will be animals and fuck whoever we want. The consequence of justifying incest is not only on the individual level, but affecting our society overall.
Someone else touched on it already but some would consider Kissing more of a romantic thing as opposed to sex which is more physical and just 'for the release'
That's why there is such a thing as "one night stands" where you go out and all you want is some sex. You don't want anything too intimate.
Kissing would make it feel more romantic and intimate so maybe that's why they find it awkward and gross compared with 'sex for the release' type of thing?

I wouldn't call it gross or disgusting like some, but it's definitely something that should be avoided if you can. At the very least with out example story I can sort of see how a brother and sister who are only a year apart end up going through all their hormonal and sexual shit at the same time and end up fucking. But to keep it going until mid twenties so often? Now that's just bizarre.
Yeah, it might be bizarre but maybe it's an addiction thing? They are both addicted to it because they are used to it? Or similarly for them it feels routine and it'd be weird for them to stop doing it altogether? When you're younger, if something becomes routine, it might be harder to stop.

It seems from the context of the story that the confessor is using it as a means to legitimise the fact that they have sex with their sister, like "at least we don't kiss!" which is bizarre logic to me. But like you say, different people put weight on different acts of intimacy. I do get the feeling that kissing is considered more romantic by some folks.
Personally, I think you can do any act of intimacy casually, from cuddling to kissing to full-on sex. At the end of the day it's just fun and comfort with another person (in my opinion).
