Those are just being used at Anime Expo. Nothing special. :)

I'd LOOOOOVe that template! Does Mad Catz have any plans to sell new templates like that? Or maybe if you have a few extra laying around you could send one my way? ;P

Hori. MarkMan just has the hookups. I think next week he will reveal more on SDTEKKEN.

Cool, if the bundle is being done in Europe it might be a good way to get a reasonably priced replacement for the EX Fighting Stick so people won't whine so much when they don't get to play on my TE stick :D :lol

I feel kinda dumb asking this but is there a particular type of buttons i can purchase for the TE? Do I get 30mms?

EDIT: Think I'm gonna go with some afrosam art:

Any suggestions?
I dunno about that picture for the stick. The joystick is gonna cut off half his face, and the dust cover will be over the rest.

I can get a PS3 version of the regular edition SFIV Arcade Stick (for a whopping $100 at a friggin retail store). Have the more recent version fixed the problems with this stick?

I thought there was something wrong with mine when it first arrived, but after opening it the usual flaw that was a complaint in the first runs turned out to be a non-issue in mine. I can't speak for all of them but mine works great :D Well minus a couple problems :P

Well, the alternative is the TE 360 version for $190 or so. Is the TE *that* much better?

Honestly... I'm really happy with the regular edition. If you get it and feel that it could be better, just mod it. After having cracked it open... it's REALLY easy. But the quality of the TE stick is astounding. But I'm happier with my regular and just upgrading it later to the same parts the TE has.

Hmmm. Is the SFIV fight sticks still incompatible with PS2 games played on the PS3? I also have a hori stick on order for the PS3.

Lately I've been having a lot of trouble with Live, so I'm hesitant about investing much into the 360.

Does anybody have 2 sanwa button plugs they wanna sell? I need to plug up my SE stick for EVO. I've determined that my HAPP stick will not fit in my carry on bags, lol.

Regarding T6 bundle, afaik, Hori has a worldwide exclusive for TEKKEN 6 sticks.

So, EU/JPN/US... you can expect them to come out in some way shape or form.

MarkMan, is there hope for a HRAP-style release in Japan for Tekken 6 or will they likely see the same smaller sticks we are getting?

I'm probably not too far off from ordering some new parts, just hit me I have no idea what to do with the old ones when I replace them.

What's the best thing to do with old parts? Is it better to just hang on to all these old buttons and pieces? Would seem wasteful to just throw them away.

I don't think we'll see an HRAP style stick for Japan. From what I know/predict, it'll be the same stick all across.

Well, I got my SE stick yesterday and while the size and weight are impressive, I can't say I'm terribly impressed with the buttons and stick. Stick feels loose, even to my inexperienced feel, and the buttons are simply hypersensitive and the circle button is prone to sticking (not noticeably, but enough so the button keep acting like it is being pressed). Not what I was expecting for 100 clams.

Anyway, what options do I have and what will it cost me (I'm in Canada)? And does anyone have a fix for the circle button?

Thanks

Try changing the image area(??). It won't look too hot when basically all of Afro's head is under the dust cover.

Looking to get a stick for BlazBLue. Playing on a DS3 just isn't comfortable. Is the Hori RAP3 the way to go? I'll probably switch the buttons out with the colored transparent seimetsu buttons.

You can't go wrong with the HRAP3

Seconded. For only a measly $25 additional you can easily get it up to full speed. And it is big, heavy and impressive. The SE is just as great and scalable, for the about the same total cost, but you still have to accept the SFIV branding.

(We need generic versions of the Mad Catz line!)

The TE is already selling ridiculously well isn't it? I can't imagine the kinda dough they'd make off that.

I bet MC could probably do really well just selling skin packs for the TE sticks (like a combo of 8 buttons, plate, and balltop).

I've made do in the past with standard controllers for fighting games, but just ordered the HRAP3 and looking to get more into the fighting game scene. A couple questions:

1) Most of my fighting game experience is on home consoles with standard controllers (not in arcades), so I don't have any pre-established preferences for stick hardware. What, if anything, will I notice about the buttons and stick that I may want to change right away?

2) I've done some research (in this thread and other forums), but quickly got overwhelmed by how much modding info and guides are out there. Are there any quick and dirty reference guides to modding the HRAP3 for stick noobs like me? Any good guides comparing the different possible additions and tweaks?

Thanks!

anyone know where i could get a 360 PCB already hacked? i have my custom norris box sitting here because the pcb that i had broke. havent played sf4 in weeks and havent picked up blazblue :( (i really sucks with a pad and have gotten too used to arcade sticks to ever go back)

I primed and painted my Kaytrim over the weekend. The paint isn't exactly even but it'll do:

I just need to add a couple of layers of clear coat now, the weather forecast is bad for the next couple of days, so it'll have to wait.

Anyone know of a fix for this issue?

I've encountered sticking even on the highest quality buttons (Sanwa RG). My fix is to relegate it to a less used button, e.g. L1.

Oh and I just placed an order for the HRAPEX-SA from Horistore... took me like a few hours to connect, server was really hammered! Thank goodness Hori had the foresight to limit purchases to only 1 per customer, otherwise I'd never be able to get one.

Are you in Japan/have a friend in Japan to get it for you? or has Hori actually opened orders on their webstore to international customers?

Nice success! I wish I had that option. Waiting for the pic that you post when it arrives (if not too much trouble, of course).

This is the week I'm watching Aki very closely in order to snag one. I'll be in in San Francisco but I'll at least have my iPhone on me for instant ordering. Crummy timing since I just spent a few hundred on the SE and another few hundred on an arcade control panel.

Also, for anybody who ordered the little KoF XII stick it seems to have been delayed slightly. It is definitely not streeting next week. Neo Geo stick still seems on.

I have a Japanese friend who is helping me with the payment (bank transfer) and am using a proxy service from the local post office to have it shipped to me from Japan. But really, Hori should just think global and open their orders to international customers... and re-issue the damn EX-SE while they're at it!

Will do!

Good luck with Akishop. I have a feeling that the SA won't be nearly as desirable as the SE was... there's still tons of HRAP3 SA's floating around on YJ at the moment, for not too much above list price... So you should have a pretty good shot at it!

How do you do that? The circle button is in an awkward place to work around. I've tried setting the control scheme to use the top four buttons and the two bottom ones furthest to the right, but it is still awkward.
