Anyone know if the LS-56-01 will fit in the Hori VLX? I currently have a 32 installed, and judging from the pics, they look about the same size...

Finally got my plexiglass and artwork from Art's Hobbies for my old TE. So now, combined with my new Chun-li S, we have a nice combo. Now moose rider and I have a stick for both our mains.

The vega artwork is a screenshot of his taunt 2 that I painted over. I kinda miss the bezel of the TE, though.

Bought some black matte shelf/drawer backing at the dollar store :lol, decided to try a little experiment with my unused PS3 SE:

looks better than expected, especially considering i put little to no effort into it (I managed to avoid getting bad cuts by wrapping the material around the metal plate instead of cutting it)

I like the feel of the material though (it's matte black)

If anyone browsing this thread is looking to sell an already modded stick PS3 for < $100, shoot me a PM. Looking for a second stick, already have a TE - wouldn't mind another one, but it would be nice to have something a bit more unique if someone is looking to unload a stick.

I'm liking that. I have what is basically a laminated paper stick on my SE and the artwork is starting wash out because of... well, intense play. Something like that would be really nice on my stick too.

i just bought a Tekken 6 and i am like wireless fucking Tekken Sticks, how do they work? I bought the stick in the assumption that i would be able to connect it to my PC for GGPO and i can't even plug it inyo my Xbox for Street fighter. Couple questions how do i sync this piece of shit to my Xbox and how do i connect it to my PC? Do i have to buy somethig extra?

The 360 has a small round button on it which you press in for a few seconds till the green rings start a pattern, then hold in the small button (they are like 5mm) on the stick to sync. Its exactly the same way you sync and wireless devices with the 360.

No idea if you can use it with a dongle or not on PC

You can't get it to work with your PC unless you have that wireless thingy (even then, I never tried it with that).

You need to hit the sync button on your 360 console then hit the sync button on the controller (it's on the top panel).

:/

I have Microsoft wireless stick and wireless thing so i am not sure if it will work and when i hit the Guide button nothing happens but the lgihts spin on the stick.

Btw MarkMan, was just browsing the Mad Catz site and seeing how much a stick might set me back when I noticed the new pads. Seems the 'Features' bit on the new FightPad overview is a bit similar to the sticks one...

Sorry if you're already aware!

Edit: Looks like it's only the Juri PS3 one.

I hit on this girl! I asked my friend for some flattering things to say in French other than Salut ma cherie. I found out later he taught me how to ask how much for sex or something like that. :(

If she does remember me, which i hope she doesn't, tell her i apologise and next time i should walk before i can run. I.e work on my game in enlgish before i work on french. Oh and i am so so sorry. i never meant to offend.

Finally ordered a Chun-Li PS3 stick to be delivered to my cali address! I'll be lugging these back to Europe with me. The 20% takes care of tax and poatage...so a decent deal. I've now got three sticks waiting for me when I get back there for the holidays. Two Horis and a Madcatz. Still debating if I shoud go for the second itteration/branding of the Twinstick. I've got a preorder at PA, but I might cancel.

So I still hate the square gate that's on my TE stick. How easy is it to change and what are my options for other gates? I know there's the Octo one, but is that it?

It's really easy to change.

There is a circular gate called Sanwa GT-O but it is not compatible with the JLF stick in the TE. You would have to order a Sanwa JLW and replace the stock JLF, then install the GT-O circular gate.

atomico said:
are there any differences (other than aesthetics) between the white and black TE sticks?
The lock switch on TES sticks actually lock out Home/Guide, Start, and Select. If you're referring to the original TE, Round 2, and other revisions, the lock switch only locks out Home/Guide. Otherwise they are the same functionality-wise.

APZonerunner said:
Question, guys - how easy is it to get the side panels off the TE sticks to paint them?
It's not difficult, but it does take a while. There is a bunch of red glue on the screws so that is annoying. IIRC, You have to remove the bottom metal panel, unscrew a plastic brace panel with holes in it (i guess that was put in for sturdiness or something) and then you have access to the 6 screws that hold the side panels in place.

Thinking about buying the 360 SE stick and taking out the PCB to dual mod my PS3 TE stick. First of all, is this even possible? And, anyone have directions on how to go about it.

BTW guys. Hate to be a party pooper but, this is most likely the last promo like this until next year.

I know it's a bit late notice but yeah, best times for the Holiday gift shopping...

COOL

I bring sticks to work and leave em around. I have a bunch here, I shouldn't leave em lying around x.x

I got tired of lugging sticks back and forth on the train all the time. It seemed like the sensible thing to do.

Oh, and I totally would've gotten another TE instead if the Mad Catz store shipped to Canada. :p

Need a bit of help - my SE SF4 stick isn't quite working anymore. I plug it into the Xbox, and the light around the guide button flashes real fast then cuts out. Yeah. Help?

Need a little advice here. I want to get back into fighting games, but don't want to spend a couple hundred bucks to buy a pair of good arcade sticks to play with a friend. What are the best fightpads available? I've been looking around, but couldn't get a general consensus.

Wait, you entered an arcade stick thread to get information about fightpads?
There may be some crossover, but I don't think this is the best thread to ask about them.

Regardless, really is there is no general consensus. Some people prefer Dualshock 2s, some people prefer Saturn USB pads, some people prefer Hori Fighting Commander pads, some people prefer Madcatz pads. It's all subjective.

Alright fine, I'll make a new thread about it. I just thought it wasn't completely off-topic since people obviously do play these type of games here, there was a good chance that a few of them have had some exprience with fightpads.

Why can't these deals apply Internationally Mark? Why!?... :( My current stick just broke and this deal would be so awesome for me right now. Sad.

Anyone know where i can get a good ps2 stick for a decent price?
Yahoo Japan Auctions probably. Of course, whipping would totally cancel out the "decent price" part.

As the PS2 ages, it's getting harder and harder to find arcade-quality sticks. While not exactly cheap, Horistore is reissuing the full-Sanwa HRAP2-SA next month for 10000 yen, but they only ship to Japan. You'd have to use a forwarding service like tenso or know someone in Japan.

Funny. It might be cheaper to just mod a current-gen TE with a PS2 controller PCB than get a legit Sanwa or Seimitsu PS2 stick this days.

Thanks. I'm thinking this is my best bet atm. The cthulhu pcb supports ps2 right? If so is it easy to wire both a usb and ps2 connector cable in one stick?

Yeah, that's the best way to go. I would actually suggest plugging the stick with a MC Cthulhu and RJ45 jack so you can make detachable cables for the systems it supports, should you like to use it on anything else.
