For those looking for a solid multi-console Fight Stick adapter without modding I took one for the team and I'm impressed. Seems to work great without noticeable lag on my new Mad Catz Chun-Li TE stick and I'd consider myself to be a slightly elevated scrub ( definitely not an expert ) but I think I'd be able to tell if there was a great deal of lag. This is actually the second revision of the hardware Cross Battle Plus not the 1.0 version without rumble that you may have seen reviewed on Shoryuken. Milage may vary and who knows if older hardware affected the initial reviews but on my newish PS3-Slim its great for the price. Only going with four stars since I'm not an expert frame counter but I think this is probably good enough for non-tournament level players.

Also posted this review to Amazon.

Does anyone know if this will go into a TE stick?
Both the buttons and balltop will drop into a TE just fine. They're the standard size - 30mm buttons and 35mm balltops.

Heh, if that is a JLF in Desk's stick (and I think hikarutilmitt's spot on with his assessment), then I've got the same setup in my multiconsole T5 mods. I wish it made my execution as godlike as his. D:

Random question: Thinking of picking up MvC3 on launch. Is my SF4 stick going to work well enough for it? Thanks :D

From the lack of noise and throw it looks like just a JLF.

JLF's are noisy as hell. I hear HRAP base, and no loud clicks. It's probably a semitsu stick or a different jlf I'm used to.

Didn't really want to post this until the stick was all done, but I'm currently braindead for ideas on where to take my Stick Art.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I regularly do some collage artwork with a nice razorblade, glue and paper books, but this is one of my first treks into digital collages and this is the work I have so far, but I feel it's still missing a few details.

thoughts, opinions, etc. from some fresh eyes would be greatly appreciated.

Can I easily put a PS360 into an Hori EX2 shell with relative ease?

My designs tend to be really simple stuff with geometric designs, so I'm not really in the same space as you. One thing that did strike me as a place to tweak was the direction of your pink comet tail. Right now it curves down from the underside of the stick and crosses back up to the top right corner. However the button layout fits to the curve of the hand and so they all curve up and then down towards the lower right corner. I would actually make it so that the comet trail follows the basic path of the button layout and integrates them into the art work a little bit better.

Just my two cents though, I'm not any type of art guy.

Is the artwork for the SE stick 8.5"x11"? All the templates I've seen have the document sized at 7.9"x11.32", with the actual space for the art even smaller than that.

Or perhaps the guy at Kinko's scaled it. I'll go in and print it off myself at a station before getting it lami-labeled next time.

MarkMan, please address and or fix this shit man! That was one of several reasons I just sold mine. It made no contact with moisture and rusted within weeks! Unacceptable.

Yeah they'll fit.

And DCB, no. A P360 won't even fit in a TE

Edit: nevermind I thought you were talking about the optical stick.

Huh? Now I'm confused. Can an Akishop PS360 Tri Mod Joystick PCB fit in an EX2 shell with relative ease?

I just bought one of the PS360 PCBs to wire up my Anniversary Edition stick so I am ready for MvC3. I am hoping it will work with my iL stick; I'm guessing I'll just have to daisy chain the grounds on the stick & on the buttons? Can't wait for it to get here. And I really can't wait for the game!

Where'd you cop from? It's on backorder all the places I've checked.

N/M, FA has it.

Anyone know for sure?

Does anybody know where I can get new screws/bolts to replace the six tops ones in the TE stick? Mine have slowly been rusting :(

I emailed Madcatz CS about this months ago. They never replied back to me :(

Ima try to email them again.

It'll need the ss-plate to make sure the LS-32-01 mounts to the correct height.

So it's not a drop in? Going to be a pain getting a plate for it. Darn..

Probably just end up getting an octagonal gate and some Sanwa buttons for now then.

Do I need a mounting plate for an LS-32-01 if I'm putting it on an SE?

I have replaced the stock parts with LS-32-01s in FightStick SEs multiple times with no issues. I didn't need to buy any extra mounting plates. Does this mean it's a little bit lower than it should be? I haven't even noticed a difference.

LS-32-01 is a drop in replacement.

LS-32 you will have to get both a SS mounting plate and manually solder/attach the direction wires to each microswitch.

either way join team seimitsu :)

Most of the time the LS-32-01 comes with the necessary mounting plate. The shaft is actually shorter on it, so to get the correct height when mounting it needs the SS plate (which it normally is sold with).

Can't you just bring your stick/screws into the local hardware store and match them there? Probably won't cost you any more than $2-3 to replace them.

I would like to go on the record and say the Madcatz TE quick disconnects are fucking terrible. Half of my buttons, and connections are pretty much soldered into the pin. They do not come out. I just put in two button plugs, and I pretty much had to force a quick the disconnect out, and I just lost a button, and the pin is now stuck into one of the quick disconnects. Awesome build quality! Any chance this button will randomly activate now that it is stuck in the quick disconnect? I may have to cut the wire completely.

If I had to full mod this thing, I would be fucked because most of the wires will not come unplugged.

^"Quick disconnect" has always been a bit of a misnomer since they rarely just slip on and off without incident... I've found that sliding off the insulating cover and using a small flathead screwdriver to loosen QDs for removal (just wedge the tip between the circular edges and use some lever force to open it up) is the most painless way to deal with them. Then pliers to apply pressure and tighten them when putting them back on.

Have had no problems dealing with the quick disconnects in multiple TEs and SEs that way...

What size buttons are on the SSF4 TE Fightstick? 24mm right or is it 30mm?

EDIT:

Googled, 30mm are the Attack buttons. 24mm is the start select buttons.

I figure that most folks in here already read the Marvel versus Capcom 3 thread. But for those who do not some odd company is releasing a licensed Marvel fightpad.

http://www.pdp.com/p-984-versus-fighting-pad-marvel-edition.aspx

The other stuff from this company seems to be really terrible licensed stuff (Remote chargers, NERF branded Wii wheels) so I wouldn't touch it with a 20 foot pole. But I figured it was worth mentioning as instead of a d-pad they are actually using a little microswitched stick for the control, Neo-Geo style. In the event that this product is actually good, I'd totally be interested in one for fighters when I don't want to bust the stick out or stuff like Pac-Man DX on live arcade.

Clicky-click video:

I ordered one of these. I'll throw up impressions when it comes in, though the last Pelican product I had was a knock off of that Hori GameCube controller I bought to play CvS2. The D-pad would constantly stick. Apparently their build quality has gone up in recent years so I'm hopeful. That and microswitched joystick AND buttons. I've been dreaming of that for years

I was wondering if someone on GAF could recommend me a decent first arcade stick.

My budget is around £50 (could go a bit over if it means getting a much better stick). I am wanting to use it for Marvel vs Capcom 3 on PS3, but I also own Tekken 6 and Virtua Fighter 5 so it should support these too.

I also have Street Fighter IV for PC, so it would be ideal if I could use it on PS3 as well as PC (Windows 7 64-bit). It's not a deal breaker if I can't. I am not too fussed if it is "Sanwa" either as i'm not a hardcore player - just as long as it's good.

Seriously, shoutouts to MadCatz. I just tore down a HRAP3 today and it's an incredible pain in the ass compared to the 6 minutes it takes to put a new stick in an SE.

My ghetto sticks:

Left:
Madcatz SE(360)
Seimitsu LS-32-01
Seimitsu screw ins

Right:
Hori HRAP3(PS3)
Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT(to be replaced with a Seimitsu LS-56-01 because sanwa sucks)
Sanwa Plug ins

I'm currently browsing Amazon and looking at the BlazBlue TE Stick. Looks great, better price than the SSF4 sticks... 'Ships in 1 to 2 months'?

What?

If I have Prime am I effected? Any chance I can get one quicker?

Also, anyone order from Gameshark? Thinking about going with the Kayane promo and wondering how long they typically take to ship.

I just purchased Standard Edition (SF4) Arcade Fightstick. I am considering to modding this box.

Can anyone know who I can request to make me the "Cover" for the box and any recommendation for better stick and buttons.

I want this box to be good.

There were only 1500 of the Blaz sticks made per console. I imagine if you order, it will process for a month or two and then they'll just cancel it because no more exist.

I really like the first one. The art is cool and different from what you usually see on custom sticks.

Sealand stick made me lol(in a good way).

Got my new seimetsu buttons. Any quick tutorial on how to remove the top of the arcade stick? I'm assuming I need an allen key?

There were 3000 made in total. 1500 per platform of Xbox 360 and PS3.
