Oh I'm fully aware that no matter what I have to replace the PCB, I'm fine with that but I've never done PS3 to 360 so I'm not sure what the best option is.

I see that focusattack won't have the akishop PS360 in until after September so I may just wait until they come back into stock but other than that I guess I'm looking at an IMP+cthulhu?
As someone who has had a PS360+ preorder since March, (when it was just a PS360 preorder) don't wait for it to arrive. It'll be awhile, if it even comes out.

My first attempt at "modding" a stick. Even though I used the template on SRK the size was off by like a quarter-centimeter. Regardless, I think it turned out fairly decent:

PS3 WWE Brawl Stick with replacement art borrowed from HBO.com. The Brawl Stick was incredibly easy to disassemble and reassemble, and is a huge upgrade from the Tekken wireless stick I was using, the one that came with the Tekken 5 SE.

Ah ok, IMP+cthulhu it is then.

I just got one of those Qanba Q4RAF. Great stuff. It's gonna take a while before I decide on an artwork, but with black buttons it already looks very good as is.

Went hunting for new arcade sticks I didn't own already in Akihabara today...

Failure. :(

Will try again sometime later this weeeeek...

I imagine it's hard to find something you don't have, lol

If you run into another Konami Hyperstick (PS1), PM me!

HRAP1 question:

Is the joystick mount supposed to have a slight front to back slant with respect to the panel it's welded to? Not where it contacts the main panel, but the flaps where the joystick plate is screwed into. I noticed that I somehow managed to bend the metal plate pretty badly, and hopefully that was the only piece that was damaged.

Hello, I played a lot a few years back on the Dreamcast Sega Arcade Stick. My question is: which control type does it resembles the most, Sanwa or Seimitsu? Did it have a square gate or? I found at the time the lever to be quite loose, so similar to a Sanwa afaik, and also the buttons were very sensible... I'd very want a similar feeling stick and was thinking of the Hori V3 SA, whose look I also like a lot!

The Agetec stick with the green buttons right? The stick lever is a Seimitsu-inspired knockoff and the buttons are wannabe Sanwa. Gate is square.

It's like a bizarro opposite Namco PS1 stick, as that had a wannabe Sanwa JLF knockoff and Seimisu PS-14-G knockoff buttons.

Yes, the Agetec, thanks. I think I'll definitely go with the Hori SA at this point.. Only worry then remains the lever, that I already found loose and with a bit too large deadzone.

Seems Razer is getting into the stick business.

This line gives me hope:
For the finishing touches, up to 200+ specially selected top-seed Street Fighter™ IV pro-gamers, influential modders, and members of the arcade enthusiast community will each be given a Razer arcade stick to test and provide feedback to further improve it to perfection, whereupon the final design will then proceed to production.

Seems they are taking signups and recommendations for beta testers here: http://www.razerzone.com/bredtofight

I'm a bit wary of it, but to be honest I had an extremely low opinion of MCZ before they started doing the SF4 sticks as well.

Something I really, really wish, and I know this seems to be mostly personal, is that they would stop making every stick that's not a compact Hori stick 8 buttons on the face. Just put 6 and put the other two on the side of the case or along the top where the Guide button is.

Okay, I've got a weird question. I had to reassmble a stick and it works for the most part. But I can't seem to get the joystick inputs to work correctly. Basically, down is up, left is right, right is down and up is left.

Do I have to break this thing down again, or is there some sort of remapping software I can use? It's a Hori Real Arcade Pro EX, if that makes a difference.

Sticks are for more than Street Fighter!

Piano black finish....the finger prints will be prominent on that thing.

Also taking bets on Over/Under $200 for that thing. I'm saying $199.

I don't need that many goddamned buttons on the face for pretty much any other game! The only other stuff I could imagine needing 4 buttons on a row is playing a NeoGeo game, but those usually played better in a 2x2 anyway.

I've yet to have a game where only having 6 face buttons was a hindrance,

Super Metroid needs 7 buttons, but one is going to be select.

Fixed up my Game of Thrones stick with new art and using the suggestions I got upthread -- still not perfect but I think it looks better.

I spent like 40 minutes convinced I broke the Start / Select buttons before I realized the little switch on the top-left panel was set to "LOCK", which disables those buttons. I are dumb.

MarkMan tweeted that Sanwa have their own arcade stick at TGS, can't wait to see that. Have they ever made a stick themselves?

So are fighting games profitable again? It seems like everybody's throwing their hat into the ring.

Which suits me just fine!

That stick looks nice, but knowing Razer it'll probably be considerably overpriced.

If/when I get a new stick, it's probably going to be the Qanba Q4RAF.

I am a fan of Razer (rocking a DeathAdder for 4 years now) and their prototype looks slick, but I don't think I can justify buying another retail stick since I've already modded a bunch of 'em and have been playing fighters less and less lately. If I do get another stick, I'm probably going to go all out and get a second custom.

But it is incredibly cool to see the arcade stick market heating up with competition from multiple fronts.

Looking good! Emilia Clarke is awesome as Dany and all, but the Targaryen crest is a much better fit for stick art, IMO.
