$150 for the high end sticks? HOLY SHIT.

I got myself a pair of VSHGs, which are IMPORT sticks mind you, at something like 80 bucks a piece IIRC.

I won't lie. The price is high. But the features this stick has are things that no other retail stick has done before.

Like I said, wait until the info post on various sites to see if this is worth your buck. But for the price, this is the most bang out of your buck ever.

They are stock images, would you guys like to see real images of the stick?

And no word on Canada sorry, keep bugging your GameStops/EB Games, I'll see what I can find out.

Absolutely!

Also, the Tournament Edition listings at Amazon are a little messed up...Two listings for the PS3 version but one with the 360 image.

No, I know what to expect with the sticks. Show the control pads, especially 360.

Damn, that rules out:

in which SRK says:

Gamecube : Cube Joybox Pro - $7.90 + shipping
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...en-70-14p.html
Pros : Works with Sony PCBs, works on Wii
Cons : Works well ONLY with Sony PCBs

=(

looks like I gotta pick up a new stick. Any preferences Mark?

The worst con is that PS2 to NGC converters assign R1 and L1 to Z in the NGC controller, fighting games doesn't assign move to Z button so if you are going to use a Hori or another arcade stick the you can't use the third button.

It's good that Tatsunoko only use 4 buttons XD.

I still need a white template jpg for Real Arcade Pro 3, i wish to put my design.

PS: Pretty expensive the Tournament Edition stick...

Sanwa Buttons and stick. Also, the case is different (heftier?)

Also some other features that have not been mentioned before. But will be soon!

Is there any place to get the Neo Geo Wii stick? I heard the two new Exar sticks suck although I'd like confirmation of this by someone on GAF

Does feel cheap. I got it for cosmetic looks and to play Blue's Journey and VC and it works fine. I do like the button layout.

How good are the dpads on those things going to be? Tell the truth!

I think we may be able to ascertain if he shows us the goods...

I'll probably end up buying it regardless...just cuz I want a pad for the 360.

In February, Markman and Capcom are taking my monies.

$250 gone for me! Can't wait to use the stick! It is so cool that MarkMan had a hand in it.

I'm probably gonna try to get a Tournament for the 360 and PS3.

My MAME cabinet's setup. I custom made it about 3 or 4 months ago. I got all my buttons and sticks from http://www.lizardlick.com/. Trackball was bought off ebay to save some cash. And i bought the IPAC encoder from ultimarc. I also made that design in photoshop and just printed it at kinkos.

I plan on making one for my 360 because this thing is so much fun.

The Dpad on the gamepad looks a lot better from those stock pictures than what I originally thought when MarkMan first posted pictures a while back. Hopefully it works out well, i loves me some good pad

I have a few arcade noob questions, I looked around and couldn't find a definite answer. I am looking to get a PS3 (I could also go 360 though) stick (it will be my first so I don't want to spend much right now). For the price should I get the Soul Calibur 4 stick or the PS3 fighting stick which runs $10 more. I have also been looking at the USB Saturn controllers on ebay and am having a hard time making up my mind on what to get, I will mostly be play SSF2 remix for now and will probably get SF4.

I haven't even had a stick before but have always kind of wanted one.

What does a large print like that run at kinkos? Is it done on something other than paper?

I cant get over the fact I'm actually in the process of putting down this much money for MadCatz stuff... the faith in MarkMan is high.

Oh and great that they are on Amazon. I hate buying anything from EB.

They're both the same. If you want something cheap, a cheap arcade stick is probably a bit easier to use than a USB saturn controller (this depends entirely on preference, but it's what I think). However I don't think you'll be too happy with that stick in a year or two, and if I were you I'd save for something a bit better.

Does the SF4 Tournament Stick not have a full set of PS controller buttons? I'm having trouble seeing Start and Select, and the PSN button... unless it's all there in the top left corner.

Start and Select are on the back side of the stick, you can't see them from that angle.

Any news on when the SF4 stick might hit Europe? :(

EDIT: Just to add I'm quite disappointed by the lack of information regarding the sticks in general. For a product that is suppose to be official the lack of information is quite disconcerting...the fact that there is yet to be a mention on a European release is just the usual which is fair enough but the lack of info is quite clearly lacking. Mark Man I hope you are not getting hopes and the products do not deliver on the things you have said on here. :)

30mm Seitmitsu PS-14-G and PS-14-GN work. GN screws in and G snaps in place. I think G is more convienient. Octagonal gate in Sanwa GT-Y. You can get these at lizardlick.com or akihabarashop.jp
A little late in the response, but I finally ordered 6 of the white Seimitsu PS-14-GNs and a GT-Y restrictor gate from lizardlick for my Amazon HRAP3. Thanks for your help man!

np happy to help.
I definitely need more click in my buttons. It didn't really occur to me until I started playing with my friend's HRAP3 with Seimitsu buttons. It just felt more crisp when playing SSFIITHDR.

You must not know MarkMan. If he says the sticks are top notch, the sticks are top notch.

So I bought SSF2THD yesterday. This is the first time I'm really getting into a fighting game.

I never had a problem with a d-pad before, but with the precision required by some of the moves, it's pretty unplayable. So I went ahead and ordered the Hori Fighting Stick 3 for $50. Did I make the right choice? Should I get something else instead? I still have a day or two to cancel my order.

It isn't great, and it's a pain to mod, but you could still do worse when it comes to a starter stick. I wouldn't pay $50 either; aren't specialty game stores selling the for $40?

I'd have no clue where to find it...in Canada here.

So what exactly will I be missing when compared to Sanwa stuff? What isn't great about it? I'd like a tad more info. Do I have any other option anways...I'm not exactly sure if I'd be willing to drop $150 on a fighting stick that I may end up not using that much. Maybe I'm better off with a cheaper entry to see how interested I am in fighting games.

Should I wait for the SF IV sticks?

Any chance the SF4 sticks are coming to Australia?

As an alternative 360 stick, how would a Hori Real Arcade Pro Ex compare? (I'm new to sticks, thanks)

I don't think you can get any better besides making your own. EXs are basically the equivalent of HRAP3s on the PS3, which is as of now the best bet aside from custom sticks.

I think I'm gonna get a HRAP3. I want quality but don't think I'm that hardcore. If it turns out I am, I can put in custom buttons.

Probably not. MadCatz has pretty weak support over here. Plan on having to import and plan on the Aussie dollar being even worse come February.

I like how you have your Wii-branded related games next to each other i.e Wii Play, Wii Music, Wii Sports etc:D

You know, if Wii was just those four games plus Resort and the other two or three forthcoming Wii-branded games I'd consider the system a success. Everything else is just bonus.
