The artwork sure is pretty. At about 4PM, they still had these left over in the Capcom booth:

Thanks! Thread delivers quick-like.

Looks as good as I thought it would! Nice to see they went back to the more expensive packaging. Viper is a bit too big (do folks even play her?) but that's OK...Chun-Li gets good placement.

For the SDCC sticks they dropped the gatefold box with magnets and no viewing window

Anyways, thanks for posting pics! I'm at work bored selling beer to drunks and have been checking every hour for an image. Nice to see the actual purple of the buttons.

Ah, I see. No problem for the images - The Capcom booth had some cool, but expensive shit overall like a giant Sagat/Cammy/Dark Void dude figurines. They also had a vinyl of the MvC2 soundtrack which I think you could buy separately or get for free if you buy $500 worth of stuff:lol

And of course they had all the regular Street Fighter art books and all small stuff like keychains.

I was glad to see so many ppl at PAX bought the sticks.

To be honest, I didn't think they would sell.

A lot of people were carrying the big Capcom bag with them in it :D

It was nice meeting a lot of you arcade stick freaks at PAX!

Anytime an entire 24 hours goes by without a post in the arcade stick thread, it's a bad thing!

I remembered today that I used to own the Namco stick for the PS1 and am frantically searching for it now. I didn't realize it was so hard to find now (in the world, not in my house).

Has been quiet. PAX and US holiday weekend might be to blame...and the thread leader is in Washington.

I've got a few more sticks arriving next week...then nothing till October/November.

I posted this on SRK too but thought I would see what you all thought too.

I found this in an article about Left 4 Dead 2, it seems to be a bunch of Japanese magazine ads, but if you look to the right of the L4D2 thing you can see an ad from Hori which looks like a stick with a 6 button layout, and there seems to be no wires (at least in the picture.)

I wonder if this is the next iteration of the Hori EX2 and the Fighting Stick 3, and if they're gonna roll these out the same time they roll out the wireless sticks coming out with Tekken 6.

I got this from Kotaku btw. Link: http://kotaku.com/5353782/left-4-dead-2-image-edited-for-japan

What do you guys think?

Hori's trying their damnedest to emulate the appearance of a Virtua Stick High Grade with the PS3 version. They know my weakness! :lol

That's actually exactly what I thought the first time i saw it too! I'm a sucker for the 6 button layout.

Edit: I just noticed that I don't see any start and select buttons on the face of the stick, is there a chance it could be off to the side? It could just be the small cheap buttons on the top of the stick like the EX2.

Hey guys, I have the Hori Fighting Stick 3 for PS3 and while it works flawlessly on my PS3, I just can't get it to work on my computer.

When I go to Control Panel and check the controllers, it shows up and if I press the buttons, they light up in the window, but when I go to MAME and try to play something only some buttons work and the stick itself doesn't work at all :(
I heard it's because it shows up as POV, and I saw some software to change it but it doesn't work..

Any suggestions?..

Just saw the MVC2 TE. I was contemplating getting the Femme Fatale limited edition, but I'll take a pass. Same old.

I want to see new sticks. Those Hori look interesting.

I was using a Hori EX2 today on PC SFIV. At first, I thought it was a POS. But it's actually a pretty good stick. I like the size, six button layout. I'm not a fan of the buttons they've chosen to be on the face or the label on the face (it seems to be warping horribly).

And Mik, I had the same experience today when I tried to use the USB Saturn Pad. It's not recognized like the Mad Catz and doesn't map out the same way.

Whoa,

Mad Catz shipped fast this time! Never got a tracking or anything and my Femme sticks just arrived. Did not even expect them to go out till today because of the holiday. They are super pretty...printing even uses a a bit of metallic in it.

MarkMan,

We need infos/hints on new Hori sticks.

Also, anybody waiting for their Femme stick to ship, mine delivered to my doorstep and then six hours later I got the Fed-Ex ground tracking....nothing ever mentioned about shipping at the MC site. Came from Redlands, CA (I'm in Aliso Viejo Ca).

I have a question about HRAPS:

Have they started using cheaper parts? I don't mean like buttons or joysticks but the stuff they make the case out of. Best I can remember the HRAP 2 was like $150 and the HRAP SA was like 200 and now the HRAP 3 is 100 and the SA is 150. Did they start using cheaper parts or is it just because they aren't imported anymore?

I have to admit, that's some pretty slick work. Only works with two sticks, though.

Don't get me wrong, it's impressive work.

This is the most aesthetically appealing TE stick I have seen, even despite it's swirly control panel finish:

How'd I know, before clicking, that it'd be the imitation of your beloved VSHG?

Hori is going all out in Japan (and in the US) this Fall season.

X360 Fighting Stick VX
PS3 Fighting Stick V3
PS3 TEKKEN 6 HRAP3
X360 TEKKEN 6 HRAP EX
X360 TEKKEN Wireless Arcade Stick (Bundled)
PS3 TEKKEN Wireless Arcade Stick (Bundled)
PS3 Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 SA (US)
X360 Hori Real Arcade PRO EX-SE (US)
X360 Mushihimesama Futari Ver 1.5 Arcade Stick
X360 Virtual On Twin Stick

That's not counting their other licensed arcade sticks that will probably pop up.

I think I'm going to cancel my Tekken 6 wireless stick bundle and get the MVC2 stick. The artwork is eh, but I can add custom artwork later, so it evens out.

Damn!!! Talk about steppin' your game up! That's quite the list!

Dreamcast sticks!

So I'm looking to buy one, with the Agetec green machine being the obvious choice. But I noticed an ASCII stick in both SNK and Capcom versions, going for about $50 more than the Agetec. Is it worth the extra dough? How tough is it to swap out the buttons and stick in the Agetec?

I have noticed, as I see more and more sticks, that I heavily dislike layouts where the character or art is obscured by the stick or buttons. It just seems lazy and busy to me.

Very tough. I did it but it took a shit-ton of work...not the least of which was dremeling through solid metal to grind open the button spaces for the larger 30mm width. Plus, extensive internal case modding. The stick, though, was a rather simple swap.

Ok, I'm willing to live with the buttons then. I'm still eyeballing that ASCII stick though, decisions decisions.

i've modded an agetec as well, i had to cut off all the plastic surrounding the buttons in the underside and grind the metal panel to fit new buttons. I think though if you were to use snap in buttons instead of screw in, you'd only have to grind the metal top panel.
