Do you store it near anything hot maybe?

But I can't say stuff.
You know.
Quick word of warning, the translucent Seimitsu PS-14 KNs feel quite different from the Seimitsu PS-14-Gs you like so much in the HRAP EX-SE. It won't be the same experience.Chorazin said:I think after I get my Femme Fatale TE stick I'm going to fully switch it over to Seimitsu, I find I really like the feel of Seimitsu over Sanwa after playing SSFIV a ton on my HRAP EX-SE.
Gonna grab the translucent violet and translucent white buttons, and the violet bubble top for the joystick, should look really sweet!

PS-14 KN are more convex than PS-14 Gs and feel less "springy" (difficult to quantify)
_dementia said:yep they're still way less feathery than Sanwa.
IMO the KNs actually offer more resistance than the Gs, which is a bit too much for me
Yes, that is possible but don't bother.-NinjaBoiX- said:I'm expecting delivery of a Fightstick TE round 1. Quick question, can you unscrew the stick from the base? I'll be taking it round a friends pretty regularly, I assume that's the safest way to carry it.

I've never owned a stick before. In fact, the last time I've played on a stick was way back when MvC2 came out in arcades.
I recently picked up SSFIV, and have been playing on the 360 pad. I can pull off regular moves pretty good, but the supers and ultras are an entirely different outcome.
EB Canada has the MvC2 TE for $120 and I'm thinking of maybe going for that. I also wouldn't mind the regular SE either.
My questions are:
1. Is there any way to easily modify the Wii TvC SE to also work on the 360?
2. Do I jump in and get the MvC TE?
3. Is there any other suggestions?

Chorazin said:1. No, not really. It would require a padhack and a lot of work.
2. If you have the money, sure. It's an amazing stick and it's arcade quality right out of the box. Just be aware that the MvC TE has a slightly different layout than the standard TE stick does.
2. If you want the size of the Wii TvC stick, see if you can find a MadCatz SE stick. You can always upgrade it to arcade spec in the future if you want to.
Spike said:I know the MvC TE buttons are laid out differently, but I can just map the buttons within SSFIV.
The problem with finding an SE is that there is none around these parts, and even if there was they cost $100. So, I guess the best thing is just to spend the extra $20 and go with the TE.
Kimosabae said:Can anyone please explain the difference in feel between octo-gate stick and square-gate sticks?
There's just certain things it seems I'll never be able to do consistently on a TE stick. I.e., Dashing. No matter how much I practice dashing in SF4, I often only get one forward input instead of two, because it seems the trigger is too close to neutral - so when I move the stick forward to trigger one forward input, then back to hit neutral so I can hit forward again.... I often don't move the stick back far enough. This causes me to move the stick forward twice, while only getting one input.
I've practiced myriad ways of holding the stick etc., etc, and without finding a remedy. Do you guys think an octo-gate would be better for someone like me?

Yep. Either replace the spring or add extra to increase the tension.Kimosabae said:I've thought about somehow finding a way to make the stick stiffer. How would I go about doing that? A new spring?
ataboada said:Hey everyone,
I've got two problems with both my Hori EX 2: Soul Calibur IV fighting sticks, and maybe some of you have run into them and could help me. I purchased them around two months after Soul Calibur IV came out and gave them no more than a week's worth of use. Today I purchased SSFIV and noticed that one of the buttons in the stick (the y-button) wasn't responding well unless I applied a lot more force than the other buttons would need. Is there any way to fix this?
Also, my 360 didn't recognize when I tried to plug the second arcade stick in, and all I could see was the green flashing lights in the X circle rotating without settling into P1, P2, etc. Any ideas how to solve this?
Thanks in advance! I just want to be playing SSFIV the correct way with all of you.
Sadly, replacing a button on one of those sticks is a massive pain in the ass because they're soldered to the PCB.ataboada said:Figured out the second problem. Does anyone have idea of the first?

I can see why the author would think so. I actually agree. Especially on the more bothersome full panel TES.MarkMan said:http://www.4gamer.net/games/099/G009926/20100425001/
It seems the author preferred the slant/palm area of the VLX/V3-SA over the Mad Catz TE "S" extended palm rest area.
This I can't agree with at all. The author must be misinformed.I don't get how the TE "S" and V3-SA got a 'DRAW' when it came to modding the stick.
Class_A_Ninja said:It seems that the inner button where the art is actually placed doesn't rotate independently of the outer casing. I'm the worst with glue and I always make a mess, so I am concerned with inviting it to the party.

I'm sure they'll appreciate the start and select placement it if console tourneys like godsgarden ever increase in popularity over there. As it stands now I could imagine why they were confused. Perhaps the literature bundled with the stick should explain.MarkMan said:Oh wow, friend translated some for me...
And, they didn't find the reasoning behind putting the start/back buttons on the back of the stick.
?
lol jpn.
If you watch the videos, you can hear how hollow the sticks are compared to the TE. Just sayin.

I don't use that much, I find just about half that is suitable.Chorazin said:That's a great idea, cut it to match the circle!

Would the best place to sell (3) modded arcade sticks be e-Bay, Shoryuken Trading Outlet, or the Selling thread on NeoGAF??
