Hey, anyone know of a place online selling Xbox SE FightSticks on the cheap? I need two for an experiment and Amazon has them for like.. $75 which seems like an awful lot. Thanks!

MarkMan,

no discount codes for shipping? Just order....is that the word?

There are none for free shipping at this time, sorry. :(

I don't foresee any for awhile either.

You can clearly see the last few letters of "ultimate edition" in MarkMan's preview shot... nice. The bat top is intriguing... looking forward to the news.

I also wonder what pricing tier this will be in:
1) TE tier
2) VLX tier =\

If your local (or not-so-local) GameStop has one, it'll be $50. Check the store availability link.

hmm i placed a preorder for the MVC 3 stick but it said my card was declined. So i kept going through thinking it hasn't charged through yet thinking there was a glitch in the system. But they managed to charge me for the $1 4 times when i trying to preorder im wondering was it a glitch or am i gonna get 4 sticks when they get to shipping?

Crazy how these have gotten "scarce" all of the sudden. Walmart.com was clearing them online for $14 new late last year :/

The SE stick is $49.99 brand new @ Gamestop for the 360. Bought one today...

Ah,

No worries,

Just wanted to make sure prior to ordering. Sucks living in CA with our near 10% tax rate.

BTW, thanks for using the little colored symbols above the stick for the 360 version...looks much better with the white buttons...going with the 360 version this time since I'm poor and can not afford two, and my MvC2 stick is 360.

Who knows when I'll get it, the MVC3 stick. My parents have at their location two TVC sticks and a Chun-Li PS3. Kinda wanna see them but it costs a bit to send them to Europe. Won't be back till 2012.

anyone interested?

Sega Virtua Stick Pro HSS-0130 - $260 +shipping.
Has ps1 pcb, will work with ps3 with any adapter, I can throw in a pelican adapter(rare best ps1/2-to ps3 adapter) for extra.

Well, I need to get a Chun stick I've decided. My buddy and I got our MvC sticks at the same time during the BOGO sale at the end of last year. And now someone awesome is hooking him up with the Femme Fatale stick he wanted that I was inquiring about.

Yesterday when we were IMing at work, I told him if he gets a FF stick, I'll get a Chun stick. Good thing they are easier to come buy, but really, I don't think I need more than one stick. The only other person I will play fighting games with is him and he will have two by the time he gets back from the middle east.
The Chun stick is so sexy though. I hate the color yellow with a passion and that blue and yellow scheme makes my dick hard...

Do you have pics?

I've wanted one for two years but been out of country most of the time and looking for something clean for my little Saturn shooting discs.

IMHO the Chun stick is the best in the Mad Catz line: it's got the flat edges of the Super stick with the nice bevel on the top like the OG TEs. Plus I main chun so I couldn't resist.

I can't go back so I'm selling my Super TE for PS3 for $79.99 in the Buy Sell Trade thread too if anyone else is interested PM.

Anyone here use GGPO and use a TE Stick? Having problems using my 360 te and I could use some help. I'm running Windows 7 through Bootcamp and the OS seems to recoginze the arcade stick fine, but I can't get any of the options in 'Map Inputs' in any given ROM to give me stick functionality. Any help would be much appreciated.

*edit*

nvm, just figured it out.

I had to use a third party key mapping software w/ Win7 to use my SE fight stick and GGPO. Crap. I can't remember the name of the software, but once you use that it solved all problems.

Let me do some digging.

Ah, I started here.

The only reason I want one is because the original PS3 TE does not work on two of the PC's I own.

Well my HRAP EX-SE arrived Thursday and I have to say that I am extremely happy with my purchase, haven't had too much time to play around with it but since it's Saturday that problem should be easily solved today.

Swappable MK top panel for TE Sticks for the win!

http://shoryuken.com/content/mad-ca...bat-layout-replacement-panels-te-sticks-3526/

Gotta say Markman, this is something many of us would've never expected. Very cool idea on your guys' part.

The comments on the linked site speculate about whether the replacement top panel has its own lever and buttons pre-installed. I'm very interested in the answer... and if it does, what kind are they?

There isn't room to fit iL/Happ parts in a TE...right?

I am definitely excited to see this product...it's definitely making me think twice about selling my TE.

good idea - better than ripping people off by selling another te revision.
Nice another one of those people, why do you insist Madcatz is ripping people off? No one is making you buy another TE. You know another company has been using the same shells for years until they started to GET competition. I can't seem to recall their name at the moment oh... I don't know... Hori? Who also uses soldered buttons in some of their sticks so that you're not able to replace the buttons easily and have also produced less than stellar sticks by the names of EX2 and FS3. But no, they're not ripping you off because it's not a revision and they've got shitty stock parts, nope, you're getting the most out of your money.

I'm hoping someone in this thread can help me. I have a HRAP3 and recently the carriage bolts on the top of the joystick have started to rust. No clue why, but I want to replace them. So, I've been looking on the internet and it's pretty difficult to find out what bolts they are. I'm guessing they are M4 carriage bolts that are 25mm. I haven't opened my stick yet to check the length.

My first question is where do I get replacements? The google results I end up getting are from forum posts almost 2 years old. Lizard lick has carriage bolts for $0.30 each on their fastener page. I was wondering if those would work? My next question is what tools I need. I only have a phillips screwdriver. Would I need to go out and by a bolt head screwdriver?

@Quadratic: you could just replace them with phillips head screws of the same length and thread type
or socket cap screws (like the TE)

that would also make it easier to get into and out of the stick

I previously bought replacement ones from akihabarashop and they fit perfectly

it's M4, length shouldn't matter as long as it clears the case and doesn't contact the metal panel
12mm is recommended.

Please explain how they are ripping people off.

Well see it's like this... Imagine MadCatz being a drug dealer, right? Ok so then you are the addict looking for a fix, you HAVE to have it (after all you are an addict) so you go to your dealer looking to score some blow (i.e. another stick)... uh, so when you get there you see that the dealer have what looks like a new product in another bag. Wait where am I going with this? Anyway, you get all excited and decide to buy this new product but when you get home and play arou- I mean snort it you realize it's the same thing you bought last time simply packaged differently... which isn't ok since you already had a big bag of the old stuff (old stick) sitting on your table anyways...

Yeah I've got nothing...

They aren't at all. That's his point isn't it? I mean it doesn't really make sense otherwise considering all revisions have had the same physical layout.

Implied in his post is that the new revisions of the TE that have been released recently (ie. MVC3 Stick, Chun Stick) are rip offs opposed to the panel.

They obviously aren't. Of course the panel option is better for consumer choice than buying a whole stick, though I think lots of the enthusiast collectors in this thread would argue that they would have bought an MK TE if one was made available.

Is there a website or anywhere that does custom artwork that fits into the TE sticks? I was curious about this, dont even have a stick yet though, just know that if I do get one, I would want to change it.

Copied from the Tekken 6 thread, just in case:

So are the hori stciks in the limited edition bundle good? I noticed the bundle was $60 and I've always played fighting games with a pad because I'm a cheap son of a bitch...but at $60, I may think about it, even though I already have the game. So, what's the consensus?

viewtiful_dru said:
can't you just remap them in game or switch the disconnects around?
A few non-fighting games don't give you the option, and switching disconnects between games would be a pain. It's not crucial but a button control panel would be a nice convenience feature.

Are there any good sticks besides the TE that have sanwa parts and are generally high quality? The Hori alternatives look good, but I'm wondering if there is anything else.

Amazon seems to be low on sticks in general -- are there any other places that have them at good prices?
