This is the beginning of an addiction, I can feel it.

tell me about it, i still have parts for a whole 'nother stick laying around ready to be put together and a couple of smashed but hopefully still pcb functional ps3 controllers

I waited way too long to pre-order the MK TE, and now it appears to be pre-sold out everywhere. Is there any dark corner of the Internet that anyone knows of that may still have one? I'm not expecting anything but I figured I'd ask anyway.

The Tekken 5 PS2 sticks can be found for $65ish if you look around. They are good sticks imo and you can get a PS3 converter thing.
I have one of these and I'm trying to pick out a ps3 adapter that's going to work. Can anyone point me to a quality ps2->ps3 converter?

I think in the 2 days I have been using the stick I have become more consistent with certain inputs than I was on pad, which is really telling. I really want to mod it, but I am so overwhelmed and don't know where to start or how much it will end up costing me.

Ugh, that's only $20 cheaper than the TE would have been, and no game included. Thanks anyway for the link, though.

I guess I'll have to wait until someone wants to get rid of theirs.

They still have the TE for preorder on the Toys R Us and Fry's website.

I think it's much easier to go from a pad to stick if you're doing it with a new game. I was ass at SFIV when I tried to use the stick there, but when I started fresh with MvC3 with the stick it was way easier.

Just in time! The Combat FightStick: Ultimate Edition top panels are back in stock! US: http://bit.ly/aZSZtB & UK: http://bit.ly/hhzm49

There's a good thread on SRK about modding T5 sticks: http://shoryuken.com/f177/hori-t5-modding-tutorial-153627/
Ive been checking out that thread and other similar ones on the forum, I still mind myself a bit scared to jump in. Once I jump in I feel like I will realize that I need this tool and those pieces ect ect and before I know it Ive spent enough money to buy a current gen TE stick.

I really just want to change the art and color of the buttons, but even that means that I have to take apart the whole stick and solder and it all seems scary. Probably going to end up sticking with the regular T5 stick, sadly.

IGN's Review for PDP's MK Fight Stick.

In the end, the Mortal Kombat Fight Stick is up there with Mad Catz's Tournament Edition FightSticks in terms of quality and performance, and is certainly a worthy investment for fans of the series and passionate fighting game players.

Don't even bother nodding it until the stock parts wear out.

When the buttons get really mushy and don't register half the time, then you know.

I reviewed the inPin awhile back when it first hit the converter scene, it's still good!

Also, I bought like 4 Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition bundles lol.

I know before these were kind of a limited item, will these be available for a while?

Sorry they're still super limited. We only made 300 of each. A small amount went to the UK store.

GameStop now lists the MK TE as being in stock on their Web site, for both 360 and PS3.

EDIT: Newegg.com has it in stock also, with free 2-day shipping!

Waiting to mod my PDP sticks with comp buttons/IL sticks after the Vegas tournament. I need to get used to this x.x

Damn. The hex screws on top of the TE stick strip real easily. I'm only opening the stick for the second time, and 2 of the screws are stripped already D:

Edit: Switched to a better screwdriver, now I can open it.

The screws on the underside are way worse. Strip city.

so i bought super street fighter IV and i would really like to have a arcade stick to go with it.

is there any shop in europe that sells arcade sticks(MD SFIV TE/HRAP3) at reasonable prices? im not willing to pay 170€/250$ (amazon.de) for a stick that costs 130$ in the US :(

while im no pro at fighting games i would really like to buy a stick that could last me some time rather than buying crap that dies on me after my first ragequit.

Why oh why wont Mad Catz ship to Canada? I have cash in hand, but no way to buy any of these amazing sticks.
I've been wondering this too. Anyone know a reasonably priced way to get a TE S in Canada?

I think the German Mad Catz store has sticks at 150 euro. From my minimal browsing around that's about as good as it gets. :\ http://www.gamesharkstore.de/

Ah, I didn't realize the Canada Cup guys were selling sticks now. But it looks like they only have the Chun Li stick, and the 360 version is sold out. :/

yeah, it really sux how hard it is to get a Mad Catz stick here in Canada. I have been wanting to buy 3-4 sticks just to have over the past few months, but nothing.

I recently had two sticks modded and it's amazing how much having a detachable cord improves the feel of picking up and carrying a stick.

Thanks Threi.

No TE S and all the Mad Catz are sold out. But that Qanba DOES look interesting... PS3 and 360 compatible out of the box? Hmmmmm....

I got my Chun stick from those guys about a couple of weeks ago. I'm not surprised that it is sold out. I remember it took them a bit to get my order out because they told me that they were swamped with orders. Very nice guys that responded to my emails very quickly. My stick has been wonderful so far. Starting to get used to it :)

Is there anywhere to buy iL Eurojoysticks online in the US besides LizardLick? They're out of stock on all colors except green and blue... neither of which match the MK stick, heh.

that is the only place i have not been to yet, thank you very much! and yes thats the cheapest offer i found all day.
the price is still lol worthy :(

I've been looking for a good deal on a TE and I found out it's pretty much impossible living where I live (Belgium). Found a site that sold them for 90 euros, free shipping. Turns out their description was wrong and it was in fact an SE. In fact, it's damn near impossible to get a TE here period. Every single store I found has them listed as "no longer available/deliverable" In the mean time all the fighting streams are dangling discounts for the Mad Catz store in front of me, but there is no Mad Catz store for Belgium and all the regional ones just ship to that country exclusively. I'd order a Marvel TE from that German site if I could, but again they won't ship here. It's very frustrating as I really would like to get into the genre more but it seems there no longer is a distributor for Belgium and I've looked/asked around plenty.

???

anyway, well have to wait until the next big fighter gets released so these sticks become on demand again.

Lots of tourney streams and Youtube channels centered around fighitng games have some discount deals with Mad Catz and are advertising promo codes that give you 10-20% off but as far as I know all those actions are US only. Maybe they'll start delivering again when SF AE comes out, but for Marvel there was zero effort to pump some merch into local channels over here.

SFAE stick? Yeah, I think I'm just enough of a consumer whore to buy a Yun-themed stick. So for that reason, I hope it doesn't happen (spare my wallet, MarkMan).

_dementia did you ever end up posting pics of your VSHG themed TE? I came across your original post when googling vshg theme TE saying you planned on doing it but didn't bother going through the next 100+ pages to find it
