I think I need a new TE. Will get the SFXTekken whenever it becomes available.
I'm in the same boat. I really, really liked the SF x Tekken stick when I got my hands on one.schennmu said:I think I need a new TE. Will get the SFXTekken whenever it becomes available.
I adore my VX-SA. Though I now feel like I have too many sticks.Grokbu said:Dunno if anyone cares, but since the PS3 V3-SA was out of stock I decided to buy a VX-SA (360 version) and ordered a Paewang PCB, since I was gonna do this at a later date anyway.
The VX-SA was like £30 less, so it's not a big price difference.
Plus, I like the color more, too. :>

Well I was working on this for fighting GAF mostly, but it is an arcade stick.MarkMan said:Someone please design a NeoGAF Arcade Stick Thread shirt... <3

I've been playing with the V3 SA a lot, and I absolutely love it. I thought the little ledges would annoy me, but I actually like having them.Edgeward said:Got my V3-SA today. Really like it. Gonna have to get adjusted to the buttons being closer together after playing on a TE for so long. The weight does not bother me, I like the lightness especially since I play with the stick on my lap.
I did not know the Chun TE sticks have better compatibility with pc chipsets, probably would've stuck with a madcatz had I known since did want one that would also work on pc. Make sure those ps3 SFxT sticks have even better compatibility, MarkMan. =)
InsertNameHere said:Well, found a MvC3 TE on eBay for 115 and sprung on it last minute, thinking someone else would probably bid! Got it! Can't wait for it to come in. I liked that design the most out of the TE's.
As far as I can tell, yes, that would work. No converter is completely lag-free, but the good ones' lag is so minimal that it doesn't make a difference. The one tricky part is the home button on the TvC stick, which you will need to wire up by finding its leads on the home/turbo PCB. If you ask around on Shoryuken, I'm sure someone will be able to tell you how that's done.abq said:Found a cheap TvC stick. I'm planning to remove the pcb and replace it with an MC Cthulhu. Would it be possible to use a PS2 cord with an xtokki 360 converter to make it compatible with the 360 too? Would it be lag free?

Really? That plan sounds perfect, then. Probably one of the cheapest ways to get a tri-modded arcade stick, period.CrashPrime said:I'm pretty sure when using mccthulu that Start+Select = Home.

Toodles said:If you're wanting to do it as solderless as possible, it certainly can be done, but you'll lose all functionality of the LED daughterboard; so no Home button. But, the Cthulhu will activate the Home button for you when you press both Start and Select, so no loss there. Cut the ribbons going to the LED board, and shove each of the wires onto the matching screw terminal on the Cthulhu. . The big question is the outgoing USB cable; you can either use the existing cable by cutting it close to the original board and then soldering the four wires to the Cthulhu, or you can cut and remove it entirely, use a new USB A-to-B cable, plug it into the Cthulhu jack and then run it out the case. But going with the new cord means no soldering, but likely having to drill the case for the cord to escape.
What do you mean wait and see?viewtiful_dru said:I'm kind of itching for a new stick... A friend brought over his V3 and I like it.
But I want to wait and see if we'll ever get an "SE" (full seimitsu) version of the V series. I really prefer the shorter throw and smaller deadzone of the Seimitsu sticks.

Impending doom or loose connections?

Full Seimitsu V-series have been out for some time.
Well if you're lucky there will be someone in your local scene that can help you out with it. I'm on my way to get a custom stick made by a local dude at a huuuuge discount.InsertNameHere said:Ahh! I'm only planning on getting it dual modded if I really get into games and start branching out to find a local community (everything seems to be over an hour away from me). That'll almost be the cost of another stick right there with shipping it to someone and paying for it.
It begins.InsertNameHere said:Maybe if I feel like it I'll customize the colors. I do like those black rimmed Sanwa buttons. Maybe I'd get 6 and do the whole blue/yellow/red thing.

360 TE? There's a known problem along those lines.GunbladeV said:My TE's roundhouse and KKK button has stopped working until i unplug and replug a couple times in the past month, also yesterday i was crouching and everything went out and my character was stuck in crouch until i replugged it in.

Marvel 2 TE is neat but the L and R buttons are swapped for some dumb reason. That's easily fixed with some wire switching though. Takes about 2 minutes.jost said:I've been debating between two fighting sticks, I'd like to get your opinions on them. I can get the Marvel Vs Capcom 2 TE stick for around 100$ or Super Street Fighter IV TE stick for 150$
You have 10-15 sticks for every one I haveMarkMan said:Anyone wanna battle? Arcade stick collection vs, go!
