I once knew a guy who I used to be friends with. He posts on the forum quite often and supports it. We eventually had a falling out as he was a "Feelings before facts" person and outright claimed that "facts don't matter when someones feelings are in the crossfire".

He told me prior that many people on that forum were like him, so that should give a decent understanding of the mentality of those folks.

it's been a while since I was on it but the forum seemed to not really care for politics much, if at all. it was nice seeing a forum that focused almost exclusively on pc gaming and without constant derailment of gaming threads over sjw and pc culture.

That ban was bullshit, I made a (Poorly worded) joke that someone obviously took personally.

Whatever, it happened.

I don’t understand why that game is so protected here, but I shall never say another thing about it. It has gotten me 2 bans so far, for a game most people call mediocre and forgettable.

I agree that the xbots posting should be punished, but maybe the mods just didn't see it? Report it and they might act. Since we seem to have a pretty sizable group of Sony-console warriors, chances just are that you got reported on a lot and thus mods noticed your posting. Considering how infested Gaming is with console warring right now, jokingly console warring is probably not the best of ideas. Either way, we'd miss you, so do not get yourself banned.

I was banned when they posted that. I found it too ight by going back through some of the topics I was interested in.
Thatquote was reposted all over the thread, so I don’t believe a mod missed it. I’m 95% sure a mod saw it and decided it was ok.

it’s only bannable if they talk trash about Days Gone, everything else is cool.

I seriously doubt that the posting you quoted is fine by moderation. At the same time, you have been banned several times for antagonistic behaviour towards PlayStation, so mods may indeed be more sensible towards such behaviour from you and may not easily graps when you show such behaviour in a joking way. In general, being told not to do X and then go on to doing X jokingly is a pretty risky aord and you must be aware it is. Having read the recent "did you expect PS4 graphics to turn out this great" and "Xbox One topsellers" threads, I must say, that I agree with moderation if they act a bit stricter with console warring right now, because the level of discourse is unworthy of NeoGAF at times. In the end, you can be a productive and well-spoken member of this community and much moreso when not dealing with console rivalry.

You are not at fault for those threads, of course. It is just that the overall climate is pretty hostile and we do seem to have a sizable share of members who deal in console warring like they just entered elementary school. I did not mean you, just that in general a stricter look at this behaviour is justified and it may then also hit you, since you have been reprimanded for console warring several times before.

That is what I want to call bullshit on, my entire argument resides on the crux of this.

the ones that say there is no war are the most guilty and those of us that just want to talk about games get caught in the crossfire.

How come thelastword got banned? I know he gets a lot of crap for being a console warrior but I always thought he made cogent enough arguments with interesting points raised to escape being banned over simply engaging in that sort of thing? There's people who are much more low effort with that sort of stuff that seem to skate by somehow.
