The report rejection says "he was quoting a video, context is key" however that doesn't jive with the TOS saying "Sexual, racial, or ethnic slurs will not be tolerated in any form and are bannable on the first offense." any form being the confusing part for me. Either way, moderation on politics seems a little confusing to me since I am getting warning without actually explaining to me what the warnings are for?

I think most rational people would appreciate the difference between someone using a derogatory slur themselves, and someone merely quoting another to make a point about a topic. The nature of intent in both circumstances is different.

I feel like things have been the calmest they have been in months. At least in the politics sections. Things were HEATED leading up to the election and the aftermath was even worse. It was nothing but conspiracies and arguments.


I feel like the last month or so has been so much better. I am actually happier when I post and browse because I don't have to worry about sifting through nonsense or receiving personal attacks.

Maybe, but gray areas are where things get unruly. Either way it's for the moderators to enforce, but the current TOS as it stands is confusing to me as a whole that's just a recent example.
