I usually try to follow the rule of "don't insult someone directly" - for example, I'll try to say someone's vote or logic is stupid as opposed to calling the person stupid. That's an accurate reflection of what I'm usually thinking - none of us are stupid, but we all do stupid things sometimes, and I include myself in both of those statements.

That said, I am genuinely sorry if I have ever put off anyone in any way based on my comments. I try to keep my cool, but I'm as human as anyone, and I sometimes lose track of my cool. If I do say something that hurts you, please tell me (and if you're a mod, please modkill/replace me); I would never mean to hurt anyone with my words.

This is actually just good etiquette entirely, actually. Insulting someone directly is just an off-hand form of an argumentum ad hominem, where you attack a person's character vs their argument.

its always interesting reading a spec chat about a game you were in,
particularly how oh so obvious the good and bad decisions are to the people who have just been told who is scum by the mod.

in the future, if anyone needs to whaaaaarrrgaabbllll because someone in-game is mean/ frustrating/ smells bad/ makes you uncomfortable/ is sorayan........ remember you can always send a PM to me and just vent out

I definitely think people taking more note of not only what side of a lynch argument people fell on, but how they argued it would go a long way. In both this and Arkham both scum team's outted themselves on a lynch, but in both situations not much came from it as it wasn't followed up on heavily.

I never said I was some pro, pretty sure I've been fairly open about being bad at reading people based purely on post content. Just was mentioning something that has panned out in the last two games in case it helped anyone.

It's a 20 player game, and whilst I don't want to say it's overly tame, it's not role madness or too bastard.

If the dead thread is shared with multiple games, we offer the option of being a replacement for those other games instead of going to the dead thread.

For games that have their own unique dead thread, like Pineapple Pizza Mafia, the only reason everyone isn't just automatically in there when they die is laziness on my part. >_>;

• Love Boat 2 by Burbeting - 30 players
• InFamous by melonrabbit - 23 players

Recruitment thread usually takes 2 weeks to fill up the rosters for two games, so season 9 games are expected to launch around 1 August 2017.
