Looks like I posted too soon, because I had this sucker waiting in the mail.

Already know that the story and characters are fantastic. Dreading to find out just how bad the controls are. Still, it's a modern cult classic and I can't not have it in my collection.

Couldn't wait any longer. I've been watching trailers and everything for it, and it just looked so fun. I hope I enjoy it, but would be better with some online play. ^_^

Where did you get that Mega64 DVDs from?
Why, Mega64.com/store of course! They have the first 3 seasons (1 and 2 being the special editions with a bunch of added content) plus there "time" dvd's which are a collection of their sketches that you often see online.

Okay enough plugging.

So for some reason the delivery companies conspired to have everything delivered today. So lots of boxes.

And the actual stuff in boxes is?

Curiously enough none of this stuff is for me. The computer is for my mother's because the one she uses right now is rather old so a more modern machine relatively cheap.

The brown box on the left is the HP Touchpad. I placed an order for it at NCIX on a whim and never got around to cancelling it. I don't really want it so it's going to be a present for my friend.

I have a buddy who gets that sort of stuff for free too. So jelly.

Use that for some serious LAN goodness.

SUPER jealous. We have the 877s at work and it's legendary. I make do with Buffalo routers for home usage, but those are awesome. I am sure you're not interested right now, but if you want to sell one of those to me for a decent price, I would be glad to try and work something out with you.

[Cisco Pics]
Some nice gear there. I work for a big vendor of new and used Cisco hardware and I startd off testing and configuring pretty much every piece of Cisco equipment imaginable. Running fiber between switches and 3745's just because I was bored and love the concept of fiber optics. It was a nice perk having a free "lab" to learn on. I never went for my CCNA because I ended up moving in to our sister tech company where it is a managed service provider.

You really appreciate how much better enterprise grade gear is. A basic 802.11.G Cisco WAP will destroy a dual band N router you can find at Best Buy. Nothing feels better than setting up your entire network all over a telnet console :)

I think its a little high on the wall. At lowest adjustment on bracket. Think on Sunday I'm gonna have to move the mount 4 inches down.

Very nice. I have my eye on the 50 inch model, would love some impressions after you finish breaking her in!

A low end Toshiba LCD. First, the picture really was not so hot. For the price I paid it was ok but coming from the Plasma it replaced it was not up to snuff. Second, wanted something bigger. Old LCD was 46 and my new plasma is 60.

Well do, I'm gonna run the slides then use D-Nice settings. Then down the road Ill have D-nice come out for a calibration and see just how close we where by just using his settings.

Nah I loved that CRT. Still works and still has a great picture. Its my retro TV. I gotta move it to the other side of the room I just need 5 of my friends to move that thing.

My PAL 3DS just got a new friend with the arrival of my Japanese one :)

That red is so goddamn beautiful. The day that Nintendo decides to activate the 3DS to 3DS transfer functionality I'm buying one.

It'll match my car nicely.
