Got some nice pickups this month. My Xenoblade finally arrived, what a preoder fiasco that was. Also finally got Radiant Historia, since there is still no sign of a EU release, I just imported my copy.
Super Smash for Wii I had always wanted, got it new for 20 Euros and it's really fun so far. Just wish Wind Waker Link was easier to unlock. @.@
Also got a Wii lens cleaning kit, since I was unsure if these games would run on my release Wii, did not need to use it so far. :D

I know I said this about the Resistance cover, but what the hell is up with Batman? There are so many logos and so much random text on the cover. Is this cover reversible also, or did the publisher just not care since its a cheap Greatest Hits release?

And I thought just the red GH stripe was bad enough.

that cover looks like something The Onion could've made as a joke. Batman hardly fits between all the logos!
Yeah, I really do hate the cover of AA - too many logos, though the red stripe & case is fine.

I'll probably print out one of the custom covers from the covers thread.

Anyways, I hope this is good (^∇^):

That wildberry remix gum is the shit. I love all these new remix flavors of Orbit. I recommend the tropical remix too. I always like to have a few flavors at a time. How my desk looks any given day,

Arrived this morning after being in transit for about two weeks.

The cupcake arrived last night after my housemate did some baking.

I started off looking for the original SNES, but I wanted the real original. The one with four rubber feet and the "locking" cartridge slot. The version you show is the updated version where they removed the lock, and got rid of two rubber feet for whatever reason.

The problem is that it seems impossible to get a "four footer" without it being at least half yellowed. The "two footers" (like you have) do not yellow unless they have a few parts from the old batches.

So I decided to get a revised SNES for two reasons: it never yellows and also I wanted one new in box. It is markedly more difficult and expensive (at least 4x the value on ebay) for an original style new-in-box than the revised style.

I was also hoping that the revised SNES' updated video chipset got rid of the dark vertical band that is visible on many games. Unfortunately, it does not, so I guess that is just a flaw with the SNES PPU in general.

First time I've picked up books based on video games. I also received an orchid as a gift.

Crap, Miyabe Miyuki wrote a book for Ico? She is one of my favorite authors. I might have to pick that up.

Maybe they only contain the remastered versions of the originals. Lucas likes to update his movies with new tech every so often, not always with good/preferable results.

It's been a long while since I posted any pick-ups. Picked up 3 games for €40 this week so I figured why not get back to participating in this thread.

Already played and finished Borderlands twice, but never owned a copy. I was feeling hungry for a loot game after seeing the Borderlands 2 footage and I still need to make my way through the DLC, so I figured why not. Also always wanted to give the Yakazu series a shot, hopefully 3 is a good place to start.

Despite all the negativity surrounding FFXIII I still wanted to see for myself and hey, you can't really go wrong at €13,33. I'm glad that I did. Sure the story is a convoluted mess, but nothing too insulting. The corridor gameplay doesn't really bother me either, feels quite similar to FFX in that regard. I'm about 4 hours in and having fun with the combat as it gets progressively more complex and the graphics are fucking stunning.

The TV is kind of new too. Bought at the very end of July. Going from a 4 year old 26" HDready Samsung LCD to a 42"Panasonic ST30 is quite the change. :)

I was going to ask why your TV was stretching the image, because of the elongated radar thing in the top right, but then I looked on youtube and see that is actually how it looks in game. Weird.

It's not just the minimap that's stupid. Pretty game though, but bleh for an actual game. So disappointing.

I still think it has the best image quality of any current gen game (PS3 version, anyway)
