Finally got a copy of an old Chevelle album that I have been listening to a burnt copy of since 2002, picked up off ebay for $4 as I couldn't find it at any shops here.

New Thrice album in sexy picture disc vinyl format. Very nice quality and some interesting notes from the band.

A big fan of Chevelle since high school and I finally got to see them live a couple years ago when that last album came out (Sc-Fi Crimes). Great show and a pretty diverse crowd. They seemed to be doing well and the crowd was loving it. One of the best shows I've been to =P

dubai radars are easier to dodge. but in abu-dhabi they are sometimes hidden and worst of all are the portable ones ;(

we get those too man. if you are ever coming up here - watch out for the one hidden under the bridge in Emaar business park on BOTH sides. they suck and go off at 130kph.

Got the jersey originally at the NHL store in August, but the extra long nameplates were on backorder, so I had them hold it until a new shipment of nameplates arrived. It wound up arriving the same day as my 60 to 72-pin NES converter, so that was an added bonus.

Found Azure Dreams, Lost Vikings, and Haunted House at a retro game store on the way home from work yesterday.

Bought a cheap frame and decided to put some of the stuff in the Gears 3 LE to use and whipped this up. May find a way to work in some of the other Adam Fenix personal belongings in there. Need to get some black construction paper for the background.

I bought the Blu & Exile CD from fatbeats.com, they sent me that plus 2 other albums(Aesop Rock and Wildchild), a dj mix, 3 stickers and an Itunes card. Mini-Christmas up in this bitch!

Oh nice, I really like that cover. I was tempted to go to a signing for the US release, but the closest was in Madison, WI. Can't wait for the third (and final?) book in the series. Hopefully it won't take as long.

My Megadrive collection keeps on growing, now with Alien Soldier! It cost me a pretty penny, but not even close to what they're asking for on eBay.

It's the Dr. Doom Premium Format statue manufactured by Sideshow. It came out a very long time ago and is sold out. Your best bet is to try eBay.

And this is, in my opinion, a drop dead gorgeous piece of work. The detail on the figure and chair is mind blowing. It's a masterpiece. I've wanted this thing since the day it came out and I'm glad to finally have one!

I think ikea has a "led light strip" for sale for around $20. I'm unsure as the color selection though.

looks nice, i debated on getting it when the had the pre-order up but ending up just getting it on itunes. good to see other thrice fans here, how do you like the album?

That's a great matchup of books. Kind of cool considering Murakami is a fan of Fitzgerald, and even translated some of his books to Japanese.

Maybe I could have handled it when it was first released but no way can I handle E-bay prices. Maybe I'll settle for the one by Kotobukiya.
Anyways, congrats on the statue. So awesome.

Saw the magazine thread and saw that alot of people read The Economist so I thought i'd pick up and give it a try. I never knew that Coppola had a magazine but thanks to the same thread it helped me discover Zoetrope ...picked both up when i went to get my copy of Maphead
