Disappointing by the lack of classic wristwatch shots in this thread.
The shots must include all of these:
-Arm
-Wristwatch
-BMW steering wheel
-Cuban cigar between index and middle finger/thumb
You asked for it. No cuban, though that's an Audi hood along with a bonus corona.

I just found an old watch in amongst my dad's old stuff, and want to clean it up as he passed away 21 years ago. It is a Caravelle from 1969, and I took it to the local watch repair shop here in town. Guy is telling me that it will cost about $25 to clean up the exterior, and ~$45 to put in a new crystal, or ~$85 for a sapphire crystal. The watch also has no band, so I will need to get one of those. I have no delusions as to the value of the watch as Caravelle was Bulova's budget line, but it has sentimental value to me. My father loved watches, as do I, but neither of us could afford anything nice. I'll get this one going, and replace my crappy quartz watch that I bought years ago.
I don't have any photos of the watch as it is in the shop right now, but I will have more questions for our resident experts. But I do have one question now: should I go with a sapphire crystal, or regular glass?
The simple Seiko 5 SNK803K2 on a strap I found at a local place. Been wearing it too little lately compared to my Parnis. What watch is that?

I've pretty much decided on that very same Baby Tuna you posted. Money's tight right now though, so that watch is coming a bit later. Local Seiko dealer told me they can get me a sick deal on whichever seiko I want to order through them but then again the guy also told me their first gen 400 seiko stargate is a steal...Made your choice on the chunky Seiko yet?
I've always been interested in the monster but the newer ones just don't float my boat. Recently I came across the baby tuna and my interested was rekindled. Really contemplating getting my first (schrouded) Monster now.
Sorry for being late with my proper wristwatch pic, I couldn't find my cigars.
Cringe? Cringe
I wanna get an Orient Bambino
It's a nice looking watch.
I was sent to this thread by a kind soul, but given the content of this thread I fear I might get mauled for asking this. Still:
I am looking for watches similar in style and pricerange (sub 100 EUR, sub 50 would be even better) to this one:
(Click picture for more).
Basically something that tells the time and not much else. Can be digital as well.
Any resources, webshops, brands, etc. welcome.
Thanks!

Another shot I dedicate to Forsete. Way into this fake poser shit lol.

Your arm looks like it belongs to a twelve y/o.
Not quite up to Forsete's standards, but here is the watch I had hinted about last month. It finally arrived this past Tuesday and I was actually the very first customer to get theirs. Courtesy of living only 15 mins away from the store that commissioned them.
Nomos Club Datum - Timeless Edition
This is a limited edition (100 made) version of the Club Datum for the local Nomos AD here in North Texas, Timeless Luxury Watches.
I had put in a deposit for it many months ago and have been waiting patiently. I'm glad I did as the whole run sold out extremely quickly, much faster than the store owner expected.
This one is pretty unique as it features obviously a very different color scheme vs the standard Club and a little closer to the discontiued handwind Dunkel versions with dark gray dial and lumed hands.
It's got the dark blue dial color from their high end Lambda Deep Blue model. A nice contrasting red seconds hand, red accents around the dial as well. Green lume on the numbers and indicies, and blue lume on the hands. The date wheel color matches the dial even, which is awesome. I don't see that as often as I'd like.
It's also the first Club with their full in house movement including new escapement system.
It came with their black strap as default, but I had bought two others in anticipation.
The brown suede didn't really work for me, so I"m sticking to the textile strap from the Ahoi. I'll likely purchase their brown leather strap when the weather cools down.
Notice how dynamic that deep blue dial can be.
Overall, I'm quite happy with this purchase. The colors work so well in my opinion.
And two pictures that aren't mine to show the movement, and lume.
all ya'll rich boys and your fancee watches. REAL AMERICANS WEAR TIMEX. MERCA
May pickup this watch once I save up enough money. This would be my first true watch.

Anyone know what watch this is?
Will get this vintage Rolex at some point (family heirloom). I have been told it's from 1949. It needs a good clean and a new glass plate though.
Unscientific solution but this video description says to tap it until it corrects itself. My Seiko SKX009J1 (automatic) tends to gain a noticeable amount of time each day. Is that normal? I've had it since December and it hasn't quite sorted itself out.
It's not a huge deal, but it has me curious.
edit: that Seiko 6105 is *beautiful*.

The image is broken.Anyone know what watch this is?
Fixed.The image is broken.
Thanks for the info! My dad picked it up at an auction when he was younger, but doesn't remember all the details. Not a Rolex expert, but that is definitely not that old.
pics of a 40s date just can be found here -- http://m.rolex.com/about-rolex/rolex-history/1926-1947.html. Cyclops magnifier wasn't used until mid-'50s.

What's 'noticeable'? 20 seconds or 3 minutes?
Wish I knew about Chino and Seiko 3s/Ratuken before. Thanks for this tip.Good watch. While I have used Seiya before, Chino, Higuchi, and Seiko 3s (vi Rakuten) will be cheaper.
I'm very close to buying a Nomos as a birthday/promotion gift to myself. I'm in the UK, what websites should I look at for buying new? I'd rather get it in person but I'm not sure if there are any retailers that sell for less than RRP (looking at Tangomat Datum which is £2,440).
You're going to want to buy direct from German sellers on Chrono24 which means it's gray market, but brand new.
Prices there for the model you mentioned are as low as $2,300 USD which is about £1,480.
Read this thread: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f8/buying-nomos-german-chrono24-sellers-1512202.html
Also, I highly suggest trying them on before buying if you can. Nomos wears larger than most brands.

I just picked up the 5610-1 this week. Love this thing. So I was buying stuff on Amazon and needed to spend another $10 to get my free Prime shipping, I searched around for an hour for something else to buy and ended up just impluse buying this:

The real irony being that I also ended up paying for faster shipping because now I don't want to wait.
