It actually answers most of the questions it raises. The TV series ending can be confusing (though it helps if one has a basic understanding of psychology), but the movie End of Evangelion clarifies some things though one might need to look a few things up online afterwards.
The few questions/mysteries it doesn’t answer feels very deliberate, and help make for discussing the anime fun so many years later.
