So today I went to KFC, and was shocked at what I saw. Never eat at KFC. So my KFC closes at 11 pm. I arived there at 9:30pm. Guess what, they where closing down. They stoped making food. So I had to wait for them to cook more chicken. I was told 10 min. 10 min my ass. More like 40 min. They didn't have any extra crispy left, and that what I wanted. In fact they also had to make more apple pie, and hot wings. They must have stoped making food long before the closing time. Because I came an hour and a half before the closing time. It gets much worst. I was the only customer in the resturant. This place is small and they only have 2 tables. Well I saw them spraying chemicals all over the chair and tables. They didn't wipe the chemicals away either. Soon after that a couple went inside, and ordered chicken. They just took the original recipe one, but they wanted some apple pies, so they had to wait for those to get done cooking.
What we saw shocked us. They began to spraw chemicals right next to the couples chicken. I am talking about cleaning chemicals. These chemicals splashed all over the original recipe chicken. They then placed this checken into the box. They gave the couple chicken that was contaminated when some cleaning chemical. I talked to the couple and we where both disgusted, but it gets worst. Next one of the workers began picking up trash, and emptying the trash cans, with her bare hands. This same worker without washing her hands. Closed the boxes to my food and the couples food. Both me and the couple where very angry. They told me they would never eat here again, and I told them the same thing. When I got home I threw my food away. Disgusting. Never eat at KFC.

I recall working at McDonald's in high school, and having to tell several pothead coworkers (no offense to marijuana users, but they obviously were, and made no attempt to hide it), NOT to use buns that they had dropped on the floor and were about to put back on the tray to use.

I love it when people make these harsh generalizations over one event at their local restaurant. Meh, at least the chicken video was a worthy reason to not go there. That and, maybe it doesn't bother me as when I cook for myself, which is usually the case.. I've done worse things as far as sanitation. Though when I am cooking for others, I'm not quite as lazy.

Anyways, you didn't demand another order or your money back? Heh, I'm usually yelling at them for a second order when my hamburger isn't plain.

Also, why are people so freaking surprise to see an unsanitary fast food place? I thought this was well known by now? Honestly, more people need to start cooking their own food at home. It's a lot more fun and generally tastes quite a bit better if you know what you're doing.

Actually I did call KFC office, and filed a complaint with that store. Although I didn't get anything free.

i would've firmly asked for some chicken that hadn't been sprayed, but then just asked for a refund at the sight of the trash bit. The cleaning chemicals are probably the kind that you spray on a surface and evaporate, so they'd deemed safe to ingest at low levels. i don't know if that includes spraying it directly on food, but i wouldn't test it.

Like someone else said, you really don't want to see people prepare your food. i don't know why, but after pulling shots of espresso, everyone i work with likes to empty the used grinds by knocking the portafilter in the side of the trashcan. There's also the chance that the filter itself falls into the trash. i've seen several other cofeehouses do the same thing. You could easily say that the heat produced by making espresso kills anything that might be harmful, but i don't take that chance.

Popeye's kills KFC anyway, as far as I'm concerned. So I have no problem not eating there. At the same time, it seems foolish to say never eat at a franchise restaurant with thousands of locations due to the idiocy of some idiots in Who-Knows-Where, USA.

More like, when you hire people and pay them shit wages, this is what happens. Granted, some people would do the same even if they were payed well. But places like McDonalds and Burger King pay employees poorly, expect them to do two or three things at once, and hire assholes as managers to make things worse.

The 3 KFCs I went to are pretty great. I always get my orders relatively quick, the most I had to wait was 3-5 minutes during rush hours.

KFC is allright if you there during the day. You're just asking for trouble going there after the dinner rush. I used to be a cook at KFC when I was like, 16 and I started breaking down at 7 and we closed at 10. If someone just HAD TO HAVE the right kind of chicken, someone was getting some half ass cooked chicken. Extra Tasty Crispy? But I just cleaned the damn flower tub! Fine! Once breaded chicken in the flower bag missing 2 ingredients cooked for 20 minutes in heating grease it is.

If you're pressed for time, at least go somewhere that has staff full of older people. The fast food places that I go are staffed with Latina grandmas throughout.

1) Some franchises are better than others. Sounds like you should avoid this one like the plague, but there's probably a KFC across town that's just dandy.

2) If what you saw bothered you that much, you should probably never eat any form of fast food ever again.
