I've been playing a bit of the Japanese import today, and I like it. It's got a very old-school charm and simplicity to it, and the voice samples and abundant animation really sell it. Everything but the voicework sounds like it's coming out of a GB (probably using the GBC chip for audio), but it's still decently catchy.

The import is decently cheap (only $33 at Yesasia), so I think I'll pick that up for now instead of holding my breath for NoA. I'll certainly buy a domestic copy if and when it comes out here, though. Support good original 2D development!
