I thought the action of the second was one of the main things that made it so inferior to the first. That ridiculous fight scene with the ninjas made it look like they were made out of rubber. I don't mind cgi effects until they start making people with it and expect me to take it seriously. Still, really looking forward to this, thanks for the link.

I can't fucking wait :D Just rewatched Blade 1 & 2 in the last couple months and I still enjoy both of them a lot. The CGI in Blade 1 is extremely terrible but it's still a cool movie. I thought this came out earlier than December though =\

Man, I gotta give a lot of respect to this series. I expected it to fall apart at Blade 2 and they have really kept up the production values and have yet to cash in on the name alone. I'm actually very excited about this. This is pretty much guranteed to outgross Blade 2

Looks freakin great. I had my doubts about Jessica Biel and especially Ryan Reynolds, but it looks like they'll be alright. Reynolds seems like a bad ass which I thought would be hard for him to pull off.

Can't wait. Hopefully it'll be better than the second one. Really didn't care for that one.

Looks cool. I enjoyed the first and hated the second, but this does look a lot more like the first in style and tone. Reynolds and Biel look good, no problems there.

Looks real good... I enjoyed the first two movies even though their moods are very different. As much as I've enjoyed them I'm leaning towards hoping that 3 closes the series out... I don't want the character to get overused and I don't know where else they could go after who Blade battles in this third movie... I heard a rumor that their might be Nightstalker movies which would be a nice way to keep the spirit of the Blade movies going but not burn out the Blade character...

Why can't the elder vampires in most vampire fictions be hella powerful? I mean like Dracula from Castlevania type powerful... with the teleporting, the fireball from cape throwing in addition to super human agility and strength?

Pureblooded boss vampire fights in movies are too steeped in intrigue and fall so short when it comes to the fight.

Heh, Dracula does look kind of cool, in that Vlad the Impaler/Dragon Knight way. Not regal at all, just hunkered down with a little bit of armor, and a lot of asskicking.

Dunno if I like the fact that Whistler's daughter has a frigging electric-string bow, though.

Trailer looks awesome. I can't wait to see this one. I waited for DVD to see the other 2, I will see this in the theater.

Both Blades did between 70 and 80 million during their movie runs. Both I believe also enjoyed health DVD sales.

I loved Blade. Blade 2 was pretty boring. Gullimero or whatever his name is, is overhyped to silly proportions by the Internet / AICN community.

Umm, how many vampires do you see have the balls to be out in broad daylight? Not too many I'd imagine. Deacon Frost was badass.

I think a reason I liked the original so much was because of the villain, Frost. He was so freakin cool. And then Blade 2 came out and the villain was a bore. It looks like the villain in the third one is going to be a lot more like the second villain than like Frost.

Bah, lies. How can the second one be better than the first when the villains weren't even vampires? Boo-friggin-urns.

And, yeah, Frost was a great villain.

I thought it was rather transparent that they are setting up Beils and the guy for a movie after Blade 3.

does Trips have a real role in this movie? I thought he would be a henchmen or something.. he just looks like another bitch vampire from this..

Also, the second movie did alot of stuff better, but in alot of ways was confused... In some ways it tried to change convention and keep you guessing as to who the badguy was, but then boiled down to Blade killing pretty much everything that moved. It also had a few scenes that didnt work.. the last fight seemed more like Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero then Blade versus a super Vampire hybrid thing. Hell, the monster even climbed the damn wall and jumped off like a turnbuckle..

however, creating badguys that were a match for blade was a very good move.. the first movie was just way too much of Blade killing everyone too easily. The second had a nice mix.. Vampires = easy to kill. Elite Ninja Vampires = harder to kill. Hyper genetically enhanced Vampires = next to impossible to kill.

They actually went on record way back and said if this movie was successful we'd probably see a Nightstalkers spin off.
