New Code Age images(new Square Enix game) and FF7:AC delayed

The trailer is teh old. Has been around for months now. The images are ripped from the trailer, guess MB was too lazy to rip'm themselves. This thread is useless.

Saw the trailer. Characters look like Dragon Quarter rejects, we've seen the rest of that stuff in RPGs before (except for maybe the weird fish.)

Square is doomed! D00m3D!!!!

on a sidenote, hopefully they won't fire their top gamemaker after the movie bombs, like they did with Spirits Within.

Really? Where was it shown? All I remember is the patents for Code Age Commanders and such being filed for in August or so, but no trailer...

My thoughts minus the hater comments. Looks very BoF: Dragon Quarter like in how the characters are modelled, but the game world looks very drastically different. Should be interesting to see how it turns out. I've always found Naora's art pretty good, but he hasn't exactly worked on a whole lot of great titles, gotta wonder how much experience he has in seeing a truely good game being made. Can he handle taking the lead role? We'll see.

?

You implying that Sakaguchi was fired for Spirits Within? He wasn't and as far as I've always heard he's still a Squaresoft employee. His role has been greatly minimalized, partly thanks to a lack of pull within the company due to the failure of Spirits Within, and partly due to the merger which has put in a new hierarchy of command. He doesn't make games anymore but he hasn't actually played an active role since the earliest PS1 days. However, it is very sad in my opinion that he hasn't gotten back into the lead designer role, where his true talent lies.
