New Devil May Cry Trailer

jshackles

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
It gave me a lot of Invincible vibes, to a point that it looked liked an Invincible reskin.

Weird.

I find it near impossible to get excited about anything associated with Netflix anymore, regardless of the IP. After what they did to Castlevania after a season, they can go fuck themselves.

I didn't watch that trailer but I'm guessing it's full of western humor. I hate all these "western anime" (side eyes them all)

That's not Lady.

It's strong female character nr 10.000. now with battle armor that shows less skin than a nun's atire because battle armor is totally what I think of when I think Lady.

This is Lady.

I'm not sweating that too much. This is clearly a different continuity than the games and I'm ok with that.

The only different thing is them butchering Lady's character for the sake of "modern audiences" and I'm tired of these fake ass forced messages by these braindead companies who seem incapable of looking anywhere outside their own asshole.

The rest looks like the exact same shit as the games with a different coat of paint for the demons. But at the end of the day it's still Dante fighting demons,Dante wearing same red atire,Vergil being back in a dramatic way(that hasnt already be done twice by now),Vergil fighting Dante,Vergil wearing same blue atire.DT gets awakened etc. It's the same shit we've seen for years in the series.

Yet why is it only the female character was fundamentally changed while the rest stayed the same? Oh that's right...too much virtue signaling fart sniffing.

I don't know what changes they've made to Lady's origin. She clearly is part of an official demon hunting task force and not the angry loner with a vendetta we know her from with DMC3. That is very different. Ive never thought much of her original outfit. She was never a femme fatale like Trish exuding sexiness. Not in DMC3. No tits, no ass, biker shorts under the school girl skirt, hostile as hell. Very much a "boss bitch" with an emphasis on bitch. Now her outfit in DMC4 is sexy on top of them massively dialing back her gruff and hostile attitude. If her whole unit including men are wearing "Gantz" body suits to equalize their ability to fight demons why would she be wearing a schoolgirl outfit. Would be fucking stupid.

If only the new Trigun anime looked like this.

Anyway, wasn't sold on this Netflix version of DMC before. I am now. Looking forward to it.

The bastardisation of this character

Who had like 5 lines of backstory; so dramatic.
I'm talking about Alucard's incestual bi journey, the dom vampire coven with the race swapped slave, the Marvel quip-laden characters that never take anything seriously. They injected modern day shit into it and no amount of eyeroll gifs will change my mind about it.

Eh? More because Invincible also looks like a generic Saturday morning anime

I don't even mean that in a bad way, just something generic looking to it that a billion other anime have already done, appearance wise. This looks decent though, will check it out.

It's okay to rip Dante's shirt off, show abs/pecs, and make sexual joke about it... but can't show any signs of cleavage or ass.

Guess it makes sense why so many gen z people are confused about their sexuality.

Honestly, I feel the same. They just seem *so* hellbent on injecting agendas into everything they touch. Production values look nice, though.

Dante feels super different, though. Also seems weird to be a quasi-reboot of the series.

Aw damn. For some reason I had assumed this was going to be an actual anime that Netflix had just secured the rights to.

Instead it's actual "Netflix original" trash.

Oh well.

Blue Eye Samurai was pretty good, as was Arcane.

Netflix had nothing to do with Arcane other than they gave riot some money to stream it exclusivity on Netflix outside of China.

Blue Eye samurai was decent though.

The best anime are produced by Netflix though.

Lots of elements seem off for me. The VA immediately stands out for me as being ill fitting. Dante seems wrong, Vergil even more so. Character designs miss the mark, too. Everything about Vergil is less than the sum of its already lacking parts and the result falls completely flat. At least he's wearing blue, I guess.

Correct my poor deteriorating memory if I'm wrong, but I don't remember rabbit men antagonists from DMC 1, 3, or 4.

It somehow feels like an early youtube fan project and a new creation by someone that's never seen the source material, but it's somehow only the bad bits of both.

I'm kinda mixed on it. The character design is a bit off to very off but the action seemed fun and vibrant. The music choice for the trailer was odd but I can understand why they would use it.

Why does he have the yound DMC3 Dante voice tone but the old design? Big bad vibes tbh

Edit: Wait... is that Nero's VA for Dante???
