Hospital shows are honestly some of the biggest shows on TV. Kind of a no brainer to try a reboot on this one.

Wife and I enjoyed the first 2 episodes of Turner and Hooch.


Nothing amazing of course, pretty corny in areas but simple fun.
The Die Hard homage in episode 2 had me laughing.

This seems like it could be ok. I wonder if it's going to be serious or more laid back? The original was pretty serious but used the laid back buddy to remind people he was a kid.

One thing about the original that always bugged me me is that he would type at the end and then just turn the computer off with a switch... That's not saving!

The Asian female doctor is like the most common in reality so it's weird actually seeing Disney pushing the prevailing stereotype. So the race/gender bending is actually grounded.

There really hasnt been a decent medical drama since House ended. So this could work but probably not. The intro title is plain awful though.

How is your Doogie different from the one audiences know?
One of the really cool parts about this reimagining is that we take this iconic story and bring it into the world we're living in now. So it's a female lead instead of a male, and she is biracial, and it's in Hawaii so we have this beautiful backdrop. It has nods to the original but also feels very modern.

A story so iconic the lead actress had never heard of it. I'm sure it'll be great and not end up just be another lifeless gender-swap to add to the pile.
