It's not super sim like GT, but it's not arcade like Motorstorm. In between. Think PGR4.
Also, is there a gif of the driving around/drifting through those two turns on the Norway track?

Review copies are definitely out there. Some digging shows they have been out there for well over a week. I just wonder when the review embargo is...#pleasedontbomb.

I couldn't give a rats ass if this game bombs or not. I knew from the moment I saw those short GIFs from last year (Scotland, India and Norway) that I was going to love this game.

Yep, already have the digital copy counting down on my PS4. With the short load times and arcade nature, it's one of those games that I can play even if I only have a few minutes to spare. Plus, the clubs sound like they could be a lot of fun.
Sorry missed your response, I would compare it to metropolis street racer.
With the skill for clean overtakes, no mistakes and challenging AI rivals it feels and controls superb! Really looking forward to it.
It's not, in the flesh it looks this good and at points better. Cannot stress how accurate the lighting and reflections are in this game.

We've seen it with motion blur that good, and we've seen what the lighting can do. I think the only part of the footage that is in question is the AA, given the previous footage we've had.
Everything else is a known pretty much!
October 7th, 8th and 9th will be so painful seeing everyone posting up their screens!

Why? Besides lots of motion blur, the AA looks great. FXAA and like don't do thin wires this well.

I was zooming in on this image and admiring how realistic the body of the cars look, and I noticed that the environment is being reflected onto the tail lights.
There was some debate as to whether or not the video released yesterday was downsampled. I'm saying I don't think it is, just that the multiple AA solutions Evo have employed are doing their job.
At Lucas above - Jesus, the amount of detail put into the game is staggering!

I have it in the 1080p's. Not a public link, otherwise I'd share, and if my upload didn't stink I would upload it someplace seen as we've already seen the footage and Rushy tweeted to the YT video, so I wouldn't get ninja'd.

The down sampling claims are weird. Downsampled from what exactly? A secret version running on the SuperPS4 that the guys capturing the footage just happened to have lying around? Along with the 4k version of the game.

I also played this at EGX. It certainly wasn't as jaggy-free as the video in the OP suggests. Did look lovely though.

Handling of the cars was nice. Very weighty. I recorded a couple of videos on my Nikon 5100. I'm tempted to upload to see if anyone wants to watch but I imagine by now most have seen enough.
There's noticeable aliasing in the pics just a few posts above. Look at the back of the Mono, for instance.
I know what I'm looking at, so don't bother arguing with me! Dag nabbit!
