New DS screens: Rayman, Robots

Rayman looks decent, though I doubt it'll control well. Robots, meanwhile, screams "GBA shovelware."

Doesn't look too bad to me. I'm curious to see what they're going to do with the extra screen in these games however :) IOW, will the second screen just become a controller for ever game coming out?

Inventory, dialouge, is Robots a graphic adventure??? I certainly hope so, if nothing else it might wake up LucasArts and get them working on something similar for the DS.

I believe I read a rumor that said the next Return of the Sith trailer would be before Robots (which stars Ewan McGregor btw).

When's the film out? Marchtime?

Wonder why the info displayed is so small on the bottom screen of Rayman.. it's not like they are gonna cover anything up with it!

Rayman DS looks real nice for a ported N64 title. I've seen the port progress since it started development and it looks better than Super Mario 64 DS when you have it in your hands. Also, the dithering in the bottom screen is not noticable as it is in these screens.

I can't belive no one else has noticed that they have chnaged the touch screen control to the same exact scheme as Mario 64... I am really glad as I eventually found that Mario 64 DS controlled better than the original in touch mode.

I wonder what UBIsoft was thinking with their original "fixed position" analog "stick", it would never have worked as you would have had to look at yout thumb to make sure it was in the right place.

I wish Fishie wasn't banned here. When he was doing actual reporting, he was ace. And I'm sure he has a bit of inside info from the Nintendo show that would be interesting to here.

And he looks like Paul Rubens, which has to count for something!

I've never understood the ban, now lasting years. Anyway, GA's loss is OA's gain. Fishie is covering today's Nintendo press conference for 1up, btw.

I work in the CG/special efx industry, but more on the technical side than creative. Siggraph is indeed a blast; it's the "E3" of the computer graphics industry.

Wow, that's pretty lazy, releasing pictures of two so distinctly different builds of the game simultanously.

That would be Father_Brain's slipup, not IGN or Ubisoft. I checked the filenames and I checked IGN, the first picture was released on November 23rd, 2004, and the others were released January 27th, 2005.
