New Fatal Inertia TGS shots

well this is from Amri0x's megathread

only (I)
no video = no presence at TGS imo. I mean, why isn't this on the showfloor if its there?

It is on the showfloor. Watch the video on IGN. Its a video of someone playing the game on the show floor.

imo sony has finally figured out that high res 1:1 resolution pics look ass in next gen

downsizing the images from 1080p reduces jaggies and makes them look better, giving a better representation of what the game will look like in motion. Just look at any high res screen cap, PC, ps3, xbox360.. it looks like ass. I can bet it will look great in game tho

this goes for a lot of games
trusting screen shots doesn't work anymore

Wow, the video really reinforces how good it looks. I'm impressed with KOEI, honestly didn't think they could pull it off after the first screens were shown.

It looks good, especially in the screenshots but in the video it looks really boring...plus all the hoverplanes seem to be shiny

looks great...

but why not just call it WipeOut Natural? I mean, with the exception of a few of the extreme ones, it's basically got the same exact weapons. You could have linked me to that and said OMFG NEW WIPEOUT!!~!! and I would have believed it. :)

I don't get hate for the craft design. Its not like Wipeout or F-Zero have anything better (or notable).

I disagree... these ships look like generic plastic toys, the wipeout sleds look much cooler, more realistic - decal/corporate sponsorship, textured damage (chipped paint, etc).. And the f-zero ships in GX at least incorporate many of these same details that seem to be lost on these glossy monstrosities... lots and lots of polygons though, I'll give 'em that.

the original wipeouts looked great but then it became generic when designer republic wasn't involved. Fzero has hideous looking vehicles as did quantum redshift. The ships in these are really damn generic though

Wipeout Pure was beautiful, though.

I think a heavy dose of decals would help making them cooler. I hope you can add those yourself a la Forza/Chromehounds.

You sure can modify a good bit of the ship. Kinda like FZeroGX. I guess the extra time will do the game some good. It looks great already. I mean...it's a racer from Koei. This shouldn't have fared any better than a mahjong game in the graphics department. PEACE.

Wow, that actually looks really good and surprisingly fun.

A thing I haven't seen mentioned... it looks like those confusing courses can be split up into circular shapes for normal races. You can see it from about 3:20-3:38 on the IGN video.

Err..guys.... come on. The environments look incredible, but how can you guys stand those hovership designs? Are "bad art" comments not allowed on PS3? I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd rather have another Wipeout.

Hovership design could be better, needs some speed boosting pickups if there aren't any. You should feel like you are hauling ass in this game.

the enviroments look great and the weapons look fun but in games like these you need 60fps and tons of speed. Also i hope it has more than 8 tracks :p

Those are some sweet visuals. I really hope it plays as beautifully as it looks.

Also, I didn't know this was running on Unreal Engine 3 until now.
