New FF12 scans!

Looks great as always.

Though now that were finally seeing pics of locations and events following the opening 5 hours or so, I think I better start doing a media blackout as FFXII is definitely one game I don't want spoiled.
 
Looking great, technically as good as we can expect from PS2 at this point, and artistically no complaints, I like the color design/pallete and lighting, the Vagrant Story-sque visual influence is still there and welcome.
 
This could be the first RPG I play this generation, I played every FF last gen (and other RPGs from Square on PSOne) but FFX was a big turn off for me (played about 10 hours) and I haven't touched a traditional Japanese RPG this gen after that... I'm excited for FF12, but the voice acting could make or break it for me.
 
Great graphics, easily some of the best on PS2, but the character designs are atrocious. There are enough emo pseudo-males in the game to last a lifetime.

I'm still getting the game, but those characters are terrible.
 
This game keeps looking more and more like Vagrant Story Part Deux than a FF game. Not a bad thing just sayin.

Edit: Wow, The Vayne Cardas character looks amazing I love his design. I hope I can make him my lead character somehow.

IMO that character looks like the first enemy of the game..of course before the real enemy is unveiled :D :lol
 
Unfortunately he looks to be the main villain. Although you never know...
Man, it'll take a herculean will for me not to out and buy this game come March 16. Like Vagrant Story, I think this game will be so much better played with the English language.
 
So, I remember reading in some magazine that the director of FFXII (the same one that did Vagrant Story and FFT) had a breakdown or some such and the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronical director had to take over. Was that true?
 
well, if you go to http://www.ff12.com, you can see the official fully translated main staff list from the game. The director is now Hiroyuki Ito and Hiroshi Minagawa, Itou being the director of FFIX and MInagawa the art director of Vagrant Story. It's the producer of FFCC, Akitoshi Kawazu, who's taking rein as the producer of FFXII.

seriously...this is probably the first time I've STARED at multiple screens and never noticed them...everything else is ... so ... damn ... good it's easy to forgive them
 
I cannot stress how much I LOVE the look of this game, characters included; especially Ashe and Balflear.

This is easily my most anticipated game this gen, and as hard as it may be, I'm going to go Bebpo's route and refrain from viewing ANY media on this title until it is in my hands.

The wait begins. :)

This game's visuals are quite remarkable. Love the artistic style aswell (of course I loved Vagrant Story so no surprise there). What I really like about this game is the music. Every track I've sampled thus far has been just beautiful.

-I already don't like that kid in image 3, and he seems to be an enemy so I guess that's good.

-The guy with the rifle seems cool, he should be the main character (now just watch him turn out to be a traitorous bastard :lol)

-FFX-2 had dress-up mode, they should at least give you the ability to buy the main character a shirt. Oh well... Zidaine looked dumber and for the most part I got over it because he was pretty cool. So lets hope the character is cool, not whiny like Tidus.

We've been seeing some great graphics on the PS2 these days (SotC, GoW, Tekken 5) but FFXII will easily be the best looking game ever on the PS2.

Your entitled to your opinion, still doesnt stop my love for the game (and Molenuex).

Besides im not saying the FF12 is bad, i just dont agree with the character models.

... I love SotC and all, but it looks pretty bad. I'm really disappointed in the graphics. The colossi look great, but the environments are horrible.
 
This looks like the first Final Fantasy I'll really enjoy in a long while. I didn't really care for 8, 9 was good, but lacked that something special, and 10 just didn't do anything for me at all. I skipped 11 altogether. This one took forever to make, so hopefully all the time put into development paid off.

Considering the scale of the enviroments, it's entirely forgiveable. Game looks fantastic all around, IMO.










(.. but still, it should've been on PS3. ;()
 
Im not excited with this game. Square disappointed me bigtime this gen with the FF serie. Back in the PS1 days, they made 3 masterpieces in a row: FF7 8 and 9. Then they made the ultra craptastic FFX and then the worst game ever, FFX-2. FFXI was shit too. And this game looks like a mix between FFX and FFXI. Square are loser.
