Stan in particular isn't sympathetic in the slightest -- is every episode going to have him massively abusing his position to get whatever he wants?
Ha. I don't blame him. I would have been okay with that (considering Macfarlane and FG got screwed over) if the show were actually as good as FG.Revolver said:Everytime I think of American Dad I'm reminded of Seth's response on the Letterman show when he was asked what's the difference between it and Family Guy. He response was something along the lines of "It's the same show. New ideas are hard." :lol

The return of cult animation fave "Family Guy," which Fox canceled nearly four years ago only to see it have renewed life in reruns and DVD sales, packed a punch with an average of 11.9 million viewers and 5.7 rating/13 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research.

Simpsons: 10.7 million, 5.2/11
American Dad: 9.5 million, 4.6/10
They all got slaughtered by Desperate Housewives, though... 25.9 million, 11.4/25.

Eek, I had no idea the Simpsons is followed by a Simpsons re-run. I'm a TiVo slut, so every Sunday Arrested Development just pops into my Now Playing list like a gumdrop from the sky.If Fox would get rid of the Simpsons rerun at 8:30 and stick in Arrested Development (Or shift around the schedule and fit it in somewhere between 8 and 10), then they'd have the funniest lineup on television.

So, did Arrested Development always follow the rerun of the Simpsons? See, that's the problem right there: wouldn't "Simpsons fans" simply be tuning in to watch an hour-long block of their favorite show? And while the idea of The Simpsons in its current form being anyone's favorite show baffles me, wouldn't it then make sense to book-end the two Simpsons episodes around an 8:30 Arrested Development?
Fuckin' networks.

Thank you. My mind was just on the verge of imploding.Arrested Development was on at 8:30, it was followed by a Simpsons rerun generally(while it followed a new episode of the Simpsons itself).
