New Games with Gold for February 2022

Sadly nothing for me this month, was hoping they would have a cool 360 or Xbox game I might want/like. (Binary Domain, Otogi or something)

I'll claim them all of course, but play maybe Broken Sword 5 at some indeterminate time in the future.

Never heard of that Never Yield game, but the rest of these are pretty good! Not great, but good.

Hydrophobia is not a great game, but the premise was interesting. I also remember that the developers had to completely overhaul their control scheme post launch because they released it with one that made little to no sense which got them completely skewered in the reviews at the time.

Just cancel games with gold for fuck sake.
Yeah, I don't really get the point. I've actually gotten quite a bit of use out of it (or my kids have) with the Lego games that were released last year, as well as a few other kid friendly games. But generally not for me. Gamepass is enough. I don't think many people would complain if Microsoft did away with the program

It is not even generating good publicity at this point. People look at it, then look at the monthly gamepass arrivals, and go "meh".

It had a good run.

Once in a while they throw a good bc title. I would have never got Conker and Breakdown otherwise.
Yeah, I'm sure that I got Rayman for my kids and Battlefield 1 on games with gold.

I know I shouldn't moan to much. Not that I am, I just think that it has run it's course and Microsoft should just fold it into gamepass now

Heh...

I've been punked. On the actual console that is no longer an option.

Microsoft is so full of shit. From now on i will just use cards i guess.
You can still buy Brazil or Middle East codes and they are like 30 - 40 dollars for a year.
Get 3 of them, and pay the extra dollar for Gamepass Ultimate.
Not think about Gold or Gamepass for 3 years.

Can anyone please tell me the name of and old xbox 360 live arcade game I can't remember the name of?
It was a side scrolling Metoid type of game were water and the levels were a major part of it.
The title had Water or Aqua or Hydro in it and I can't think of it. It's not Undertow in case 'water' wasn't actually in the name and I'm misremembering.

I am assuming I don't need to play the first 4 broken sword games?

They all stand alone yes?

I don't understand how you can own an Xbox and not have Game Pass at this point. Unless you are just a casual schlub.

You'll miss a couple of references and jokes of recurring characters and themes but all games in the franchise are largely stand alone adventures.

Whenever I get my Series X I probably won't get GamePass except maybe a few months here and there.

Guess I'll be a casual schlub.

Great thing about Gold is the 360 games are yours to keep, only console service that does that as far as I know.
