360 = 1 , pc = 0

How can this game looks so bad on pc? :lol

It'll still be the better version if Microsoft/Ubi decide not to allow 3 units, with the ability to control any of the troops you wish and change as often as the player likes.

Personally I thought the dumbing down of the 1 single squad to control and only controlling 1 troop, was the worst move they could have ever made.

Untill this option is back, the series is lost on me, at least on consoles.

The PC version is going to be much more like original, with multiple teams and the return of the command map. The console version will be much like GR2 is, more arcadey, less strategic.

That is my fear, I loved the first, and although appreciate the fluid movements and improvements in them and graphics along with everything else, I was in shock and denial when I finally realized commanding 2-3 teams and any troop was not an unlockable or reachable option :((

I may have to upgrade my PC when it's released if the score and reviews are positive enough.
I wasn't looking forward to an upgrade, as current PC hardware specs haven't tripled mine yet (that's usually when I build a new PC) but I guess I am curious to a 64 bit cpu and OS combo with 3-4 gigs of ram.

Low quality JPG compression.

That has nothing to do with the quality of that shot. Even a B&W 90% compressed JPG would not hide the fact that there are no shadows, not even a single circular, 1996 old school shadow.

Where's normal mapping?

This seriously looks like a PS2 game.

One of the world's best studios (Xbox 360) vs. the makers of Bandits: Phoenix Rising (PC)

Hardly a fair fight, but I thought they were porting the Xbox 360 game, not building it from the ground up...

We have finally gotten our first look at what to expect visually from Revolution games.

I'm going to ignore the fact that this is an obvious attempt at trolling and ask how on earth, if you actually meant this to be serious, it could even be remotely justified.

Statements like this piss me off not because I'm a Revo fanboy or anything(only console I WONT be getting next gen), but they're just so stupid and pointless that it does nothing to add to intelligent discourse. If you're going to trash the game, trash it because it looks like trash, not because you feel like sticking in a sucker punch at a console we know almost nothing about.

I understand you were being sarcastic, but people really need to remember that sarcasm does not work well over the internet.

So you picked up on the sarcasm but you chose to ignore it? Anyone familiar with my post history would know I wasn't being serious and mocking those who prematurely diss the Rev and as for those who are not familiar.......eh. Can't please everyone.

EDIT: The more I think about it I wasn't being as sarcastic as I would of liked to be most likely a minatory reaction to the ATI topic. Disgruntled, yes. Given up? Not quite.

You people seriously underestimate the power of the 360.
Come November you will all succumb.....

What the hell are you talking about? Those are screens of the PC version...

People thought they would look similar, they look generations apart. I'm sure that is what he is getting at

Someone was talking about artifacts on the helmet.

This must be the game running at "low detail" or something because most current gen PC games (take battlefield 2 or hell even Tribes 3/Doom3/etc) just blow that screenshot away. I'm sure this has to be an artifact of bad compression and running on some bad hardware or something.

But this game looks shit for a new PC game. Normal PC-X360 port should look similar (on high-end rigs).

gotta be a bad screen or something. the last batch of pc shots looked quite a bit better to me...
