I like the art direction and everything (the atmosphere of the game itself is great), but I don't know what to make of the gameplay. The combat seems to be heavily reliant on just pressing appropriate buttons at roughly the right time. The platforming should be good (hopefully like PoP's), and I like the wall-combat as it seems to be mostly in the control of the player.

Agreed. I vaguely remember those mountain-side enemies flinching when hit by the blades in the E3 build. Don't know what's happening there.

About the lack of hype, this will have to be a sleeper hit, I'm afraid. It has Devil May Cry potential success. But it's sure to be a much better game.

Maybe working for a web site you don't realize this, but I'm sure print mags are thanking heavens that devs finally started giving them screens that they can print without looking like total shit.
