New GTA V Trailers "MICHAEL. FRANKLIN. TREVOR."

4 was a major disappointment but I still can't help gettin kinda hyped. I mean it HAS to be better than that game, right?

I've suffered disillusionment towards the GTA series for years now because of the disappointment that was IV, but I dunno... this looks like a comeback. Vice City is my favourite installment and Michael gives me back those vibes again, whereas playing as Trevor looks like it'll be pure madcap fun. Fingers crossed.

I'm bored to be honest. The trailers were pretty good (although R* has made way better trailers) and it's hard to blame a GTA game for being, well, GTA, but think I've just had enough GTA, just doesn't' excite me anymore like it used to, need a new time period like going back the 80's I think for it to really get me hyped again. Everything was solid in the trailer but, meh.

Do you play any other open world titles?

After IV, I have a hard time getting excited. I thought Franklin looked the most interesting though, probably because it reminds me of San Andreas.

Lack of a female character is both disappointing and surprising.

Seems like a missed opportunity.

I would happily have traded Trevor for a woman.

From the last round of previews, movement and gunplay is evolved from Max Payne 3 and nothing like the wonk-fest that was GTAIV.

Are you guys really judging cutscene framerates on it being next gen?

Hell GTA4 on Xbox 360 ran with a unlocked framerate that was near 60fps for some cutscenes.

Michael was the best because of the music. Looks pretty good though! Finally some fun again after the depressing GTA IV...

Didn't like this trailer as much as the first two. But i still liked it. Definitely on board for day one and i'm looking forward to the previews. I've stopped watching trailers for most movies and games i'm excited for, GTAV is one of the few i'm allowing myself. I'm on complete blackout for The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls.
You are a better man than me. Let me just tell you that the latest trailer for that game was absolutely mindblowing, but boy does it spoil a lot of stuff. So your blackout is warranted.

I truly worry for anyone who wasn't absolutely floored by the trailers.
The set dressing, the scope, just wow, son.

I suspect you just don't like video games. Or fun.

Whatever, be cynical. Always the next high with you peeps.

Seems like a missed oportunity.

I would happily have traded Trevor for a woman.

I'm sure we'll get some DLC maybe it will have three women as characters that would be brill

Has the rumor of Larry David being an NPC mission giver in GTA5 been confirmed yet? I was expecting a 2 - 5 seconds glimpse of his character in one of these trailers.

Didnt GTA IV, Max Payne 3 and LA Noire have equally impressive trailers but the actual gameplay parts didn't meet everyone's expectations?

"Oh, don't get me wrong.. The graphics are fine.. I just don't like the theme at all. Just looks like a cashin on the popularity of the thug/gansta look right now... god, I'll be glad when this fad is over."

Lol. SA was the best.

Amazing looking back.

The shooting can be subpar and the missions can become repetitive but I don't care. I like inhabiting the worlds that Rockstar creates. This looks fun.

I don't think anything about that really looks next-gen or beyond the current consoles. Rockstar just has the money to obtain the proper talent and give that talent the amount of time they need to outclass anyone else when it comes to open-world games.

That is extremely detailed for an open world game like GTA, maybe this part is just a cutscene or whatever so they could push it a bit.

But damn, there is talent and optimisation, then there's magic... Rockstar are magicians.

Disagree completely. Have you seen what some recent games look/run like on PC?

Sure, and while they can be completely without aliasing with some additional forced AA, you'd need a really good PC to run a game with that IQ at even a stable 30 fps.

I'll stick to believing any portions of a trailer that look remarkably better than the rest are touch-ups, because that's common in trailers.

Looks great! I really am expecting a next-gen version of this game and LOL to people who are saying the graphics are ugly.
