Them beaches, them bikes.

If they can get that amazing draw distance and limit the amount of pop ins on PS3, then Rockstar are geniuses. If not, then PS4 version for me.

Just not true. You could get different people to fight, some would pull a gun and take cover, others would run. Some would fist fight while some would give up when the cops pulled out. Others would get in gun fights with the cops; people running everywhere screaming. Nothing even close to being robotic about the NPC's in IV.

Creating a giant fist fight or getting people arrested ( make them punch me) was so much fun in IV and one of those small things that added to the game a lot in terms of making the game feel a live.

The first few hours of playing IV I finally got into a fist fight and was getting beaten up quite hard, about to die but 2 pedestrians came and actually helped me out and kicked that guys ass, so epic.

You're right, there were many different ways in which the pedestrians acted and reacted to situations.

Plus having pedestrians hold onto the car handle while you drive away... YEP.

While you cannot talk to them like in SKYRIM they do still act and react very well and that part is not topped yet, from helping you out in a fight, reactions to situations etc...

The one time I punched a old woman in IV ended in 3 males kicking my ass and killing me, so epic though.

That melee montage in Trevor's trailer is interesting. No way to tell how well it will control, but the fighting "looks" better somehow than GTA IV's melee combat somehow. Not sure how to describe it exactly. Potentially going to be a step up for melee combat from past R* games.

Will they just get off their ass and announce the next-gen/PC versions already? There's no way the footage in this trailer was running on current gen specs.

It's slightly irritating me that I'm going to have to wait an undescribed amount of time post-launch for the version of the game that they're advertising to actually be released.

It's all in the details- I think it is impressive. For an open world game, that doesn't seem neat?

It's been common for a decade for NPC's to react to a player driving a car and jump out of the way. An NPC doing that to a player on a bike isn't meaningfully different in any way.

It seemed pretty obviously current gen to me. 720p, aliasing, lack of anisotropic filtering and some less than stellar texture work.

Yeah, I mentioned that earlier too- I wonder how it'll control! Everything looks cleaner, like he's hitting with way more force. I wonder if each character will have different strengths regarding melee moves...

trailers delivered. Franklin trailer was great (sorry... but calling the black guy franklin can't stop me from laughing.... <3 AD) Trevor was very funny. Michael was the best (though my favorite of the songs probably had something to do with that)

Game looks incredible. Good job rockstar of washing away (at least temporarily) the apathy from GTAIV.

They need non lethal ways to subdue an enemy.
Brawling and hog tieing in RDR made the game. True story! (I agree with you)

Looks just sensational! I'd happily wait for a PC or next gen version, however long it would take. I wonder If they'd announce after the current gen release?

Really need to see some legit gameplay.

I'm quite sure Rockstar can do some very involved cutscenes, but I need to see what I'll be able to control.

Probably already mentioned but I get the impression that Michael and Trevor know each other prior to the events in the game. Trevor could be a long lost relative or childhood friend whose life went down a completely different path.

My theory is that Trevor is looking for a handout from Michael and comes to Los Santos. Not sure why but the line from Trevor talking about seeing a therapist makes me think that Michael will see it as something they have in common. But instead of Michael helping Trevor out…Trevor helps Michael out by satisfying his criminal urges.

I’m just talking out of my ass though. Just something I picked up after watching the damn thing 8 fucking times.

Yes it's already confirmed they know each other. They use to do heists together.

Ooooh. lol Sorry. Haven't been keeping up as much as I'd like because it only makes the wait even more unbearable.
