Your face was a mistake!Dual Wielding was the mistake.
Really neat and intriguing marketing by Microsoft.
duel wielding in Halo is one of them ideas that sound really cool for a minute(I'm holding two guns! I'm like Chow Yun Fat in Hard Boiled!). Then you think about how Halo work about a trio of Shoot/Melee/Grenade, and you just cut out 2/3rds of that for primarily close-range combat. God forbid you have to reload, either. Or get in a vehicle.
Just not a good fit for the series.
Wat? you could reload guns independently and then slo mo doves would come. In short shut your whore mouth.
So will Blue Team be the only Spartan-IIs in the game, or does anyone reckon there will be references to other members of John's generation still active in the UNSC in some capacity (Fhajad, Maria, Naomi, Gray Team)?
It says on Halo Waypoint that some Spartan-IIs are known to have taken part in the training of Spartan-IV personnel, so dunno if that means anything for Halo 5's overall arc.
Would be cool if Jun showed up in a cameo.
Dual wielding could work, it just didn't. Bungie should have balanced the weapons to make them more useful with one hand. That's the main issue I had with it. They could have, for example, made the pistol scope-able with one hand or just made it more powerful. That reminds me...ugh, the pistol. They really haven't done justice to it since CE have they. It was serviceable in 4 but should have at least had like 5 more rounds per mag, especially after people realized the power of the Boltshot, aka the BS.

Quick question, is there no where online where I can find summarized versions of each of the issues in Escalation? I feel like there's so much that happened between the end of Spartan Ops (H4) and the beginning of Halo 5.
Yea I looked through those, honestly most of them are pretty useless. You get things like:http://www.halopedia.org/Escalation
Each issue has a plot synopsis. Great website. Escalation seems like it'll be important.
Yea I looked through those, honestly most of them are pretty useless. You get things like:
"What happened to the Master Chief immediately following the events of Halo 4, and what do those events mean for the future of the crew on the UNSC Infinity? Halo lead writer Brian Reed (Amazing Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel) and Ricardo Sánchez reveal all in the thrilling conclusion to this Halo event!"
...doesn't really tell me anything :-/
There's so much that seems to happen in Escalation that so many players have absolutely no idea about. I feel like I'm in the dark, even though I've played through Halo 4 and Spartan Ops.

Ahh, didn't click the full article. Should have known since I use Wiki a lot. Good stuff, thanks.Did you click the full article?

Seems to cover most the relevant points of the issue.
That "Traitor" needed to look a bit more handmade, otherwise I love that marketing.

So, I'm frantically trying to catch up on all of the extended universe stuff before Halo 5 launches, and I'm having a hard time making it through the Forerunner saga... It just seems like a lot of words, but so much time in between interesting events taking place...
I'm about halfway through the second book and I'm pretty bored... In comparison the Nylund and Traviss books kept me on the edge of my seat... Does it get any better?
I wanna know as much about the forerunners as possible after being lost in Halo4, but I don't know if I can take this!
Watched the first 2 Sprint episodes, great stuff. Was super bummed to see at the end that the next episodes aren't until launch basically.

It's probably selfish of me to sort of hope the Dauntless visor that comes with it is exclusive to those with the controller. D:
That controller looks rad. But with no splitscreen why would I need a second controller? :-/

Chief is being called a traitor because he is waking up the Guardians which in turn are flat out leveling cities and killing tons of civilians in the wake so he can find Cortana on the dark net, right?
For other games that have splitscreen? :O
We don't quite know why he would be waking the Guardians or if he's doing it purposefully. We just know that he apparently ends up in the places they have appeared.

He's told, "Meridian is next" so I feel like that implies that the Guardians are waking up regardless of whether Chief is around or not.
And Warden Eternal is composed Didact from the end of Halo 4, right?
The fact that Warden Eternal shows up in Warzone makes me think its more of a title then one particular character. I could be way off though.
I haven't played a halo since Reach. Can someone point me to a decent nerd ass nerdy video that succinctly explains events since then?
