I don't really need anymore Kameo media after what I saw at TGS to be honest
I'm as sold on the game as one can be :lol
Perhaps it is the result of some of the effects they are using?Ruzbeh said:Nice, but how come the pics still aren't anti-aliased?
It's strange indeed. Maybe framebuffer captures don't have the AA applied yet?Ruzbeh said:Nice, but how come the pics still aren't anti-aliased?
Are you kidding?dark10x said:Perhaps it is the result of some of the effects they are using?
Maybe they are trying to create a better contrast between sharp objects and those affected by various levels of blurring? I don't think AA will be necessary...

This game looks so average to me. Would you really be exicted about this if it wasn't a launch game for a next-gen console? I think we both know the answer to that. OR DO WE?
And before you slag me off for "trolling": isn't it as much being a troll to have nothing but relentless praise for something so undeserving of it?
Focus mode, slows down time so you can for example use the plant uppercut to launch an ennemy in the air, than change to the ice creature to finish them while they are still flying. Makes some nice combos.Zaphod said:That first pic may not be bad art, but it looks like a bad trip. Anyone know what's going on in the game to make it look like that, some weird spell or something?

(And who else is absolutely sick of motion blur?)
teiresias said:It doesn't look bad, but I'm not too terribly impressed, the game still has that "last generation assets with next-gen effects layered on top" look to it. You can tell it was originally started on less powerful hardware.
Dice said:I hope these screens don't respresent the actual in-game camera, cause if they do the game will make me sick. Rare platformers have had problems with that sort of thing.
Advice to Rare camera designers: BACK UP! The character doesn't need to be 6 inches from the camera.
Prine said:only a handful of people really cared for Kameo until BlimBlim and Gamespot posted their videos and impressiosn. Since then its pretty much been on everyone's launch list not only here but on most other forums . Im even shoked at how well the game looks and plays. Looks like great fun
Have you seen the TGS vids?
Take a look at my or Gamespot's videos of the TGS build for a good idea of how the camera works. Seemed fine to me.Dice said:I hope these screens don't respresent the actual in-game camera, cause if they do the game will make me sick. Rare platformers have had problems with that sort of thing.

I totally agree. I was planning on getting the game when it was in development for the 'Cube, so if I get a 360, this will definitely be on my list.Mifune said:Actually, I've been interested in Kameo since I tried the Gamecube version at E3 before the cube and xbox even came out. It had promise then, and now it looks pretty amazing.
