For now, I'm calling it Criminal Intent: Jury Edition. It gives both sides of the story, like CI does, but it's much more interesting to see how people go about defending themselves than it is to see them try to hide. It's more strategic, and made for interesting TV.
It's nice to see Jerry Orbach appearing in this final performances, but I doubt the show will really suffer without him. The leads are compelling enough that it works with or without Orbach...although it's nice to see Briscoe back on the streets a few last times. I guess he's being their guest, and I can't say I really mind at all.
ShadowRed said:He was never going to be a major character just a few guest appearances. He supposedly filmed up to 5 episodes before he died, so we have a few more appearances to look forward to.
Memles said:Nope...try two. I know he was not going to be a major character, but Lennie is a great character and was just fun to watch. He only completed filming two episodes. Technically, the episode airing (I think) tomorrow night is actually a much later episode, but because of Orbach's death they chose to air the two episodes back-to-back in order to pay tribute to him and, I can assume, at the same time draw some people into the show with his passing.

Memles said:Law and Order
Law and Order: Special Victims Unit
Law and Order: Criminal Intent
Law and Order: Trial By Jury
Ratings for the first three are slipping, we'll see how the fourth fairs.

Grizzlyjin said:Special Victims Unit is currently the best Law and Order on, then the original. And for some reason I can't stand Criminal Intent. I guess I don't like the two main characters.
Incorrect, ratings for SVU are up over last year. The other two are dropping.Memles said:Law and Order
