I concur. Get the mowers running!! Who the hell looks at the grass this much when playing a football game? I am far more concerned with the animation and AI.

A screen like this is proof that EA did in fact match those early renders. Compare something like this to the Mcnabb pic where he looks like a demon, and I will take this shot any day. Unfortunately I've concluded that Madden will be one of those "I won't know if it's good until I have it in my hands" games.

.. yeah, on 2nd thought, you're very right. Hopefully all the field textures are as sharp as these..

The biggest difference in these pics that stands out as weak, are really only the solid shadows and lack of bullshit play in Madden.
