This game is technically really impressive, but when it comes to realism, it just can't match NBA 2K6...

You look at this, and you see CG players right away... You look at NBA 2K6, and you have to take a second look to realise that those aren't real players. (in some shots anyway)

I'll take NBA2k over Live because of the arms and legs. In Live everyone's body parts look really gross and over-exaggerated whereas in 2k they look smooth.

I agree it looks nice but I just cant believe the player models still skate around like Disney on Ice. This animation has always been a problem for the franchise (all the way back to Live '95 on the SNES for crying out loud!) but now it looks more ridiculous than ever when you have such high quality rendering surrounding it. Im starting to think EA has been porting their NHL code and applying a quick and dirty basketball mod for these last 10 years.

Looks like EA Sports likes the shiny light reflections on the players skin in NBA2K6... these pictures seem to have the added reflection of light...

These do look better than any of the other NBA Live pictures... but I feel that NBA2K6 blows these away!
