WTF?!?!?! Is that a pimped Jaguar? My god the horror! If that's a pimped Aston Martin... that's even worse!

Of course!

Need for Speed = Pimp all that is pimpable. If you see it, pimp it!

I'll be curious to see what a lot of people think of 360 releases like this...

I mean, there are some improvements over what we could do this gen, but it looks really similar overall. I've been thinking of 360 as I'm going to play it (in 720p), but what of those that will be sticking to older analog sets? The jaggies should be all but eliminated, but it doesn't seem like there will be any sort of serious impact.

I'd wager that, right now, Burnout Revenge (in motion) would impress the general public a lot more than this. I could also see games like this being used to downplay the 360. Toss BR into a PS2 and load it up with MW on 360 sitting right next to it.

I just can't understand why MS is allowing this kind of thing to happen (then again, they shouldn't bite those that are supporting them). Games like this do not even begin to demonstrate what the 360 will be able to do. It's like judging the Dreamcast with this...

It seems that, like the DC, a lot of early 360 content will be heavily based on previous gen content. The price of "going first"?

It's a shame we're mocking EA; a small start-up developer limited by their teeny budget, teeny staff and struggling to come to grips with new hardware. Come on guys, have a heart.

When I first saw that shot, I remember thinking "that's not bad, but not quite what I would expect from next-gen...".

Now, I wish we were there. :(

I seriously wonder how any sane person can expect EA to deliver great visuals. When I saw that 1st shot, I remember thinking "Yeah fucking right." At least Madden's shaping up. Reportedly.

They did when the first renders of the game came out.

Wow that's above and beyond the kind of work you'd normally expect EA to do if they did... I still say the X360 version is just a modified version of what ends up on the PC.

Err, Sim City 4 was SO demanding that, if you played too far into the game, there was no PC on the market that could continue to run it smoothly.

The price of going first maybe but more being first while not having the lead of the market.
You wouldn't invest big time in a Dreamcast game because it's hard to tell what sales it will get, the Saturn wasn't leading and Sega userbase wasn't the biggest so chances are that you will lose money if invest too much.
Same line of thinking with the first 360 games. Gamers will have to bear with that.
