teh Funny!

I met a kid the other day who's gonna make a great video game nerd. He was around 10 and said that I looked like Hideo Kojima.

I thought it was pretty funny, especially Tycho's face in the third panel. Actually that was the only thing I found funny...fade away.

I hated it with X when I worked retail... but what to you call FFX-2... Ten-2... ? That makes even less sense

What is even the point of even posting these new threads each time a PA strip is released? We all already know about PA. If I wanted to read that comic, I would just go to their website and do so.

I've been considering creating a mega comics thread in the Off Topic forum where everytime a new comic that is normally posted here (Penny Arcade, Perry Bible Fellowship, hell even Videogame Cats) it would get posted in the thread. The thread would be open/unlocked, as there's no way in hell I'm scouring the net each night to post new comics for people, but there would be zero discussion allowed. So basically, lets say this new Penny Arcade came out tonight, a poster would be able to bump the thread with the comic and the comic alone. No text. And no one would reply with :lol :lol :lol or NOT TEH FUNNY SARS.

This way people would have handy access to updates on webcomics they like without having to check the website every day. Before the thread actually got started, I'd post a poll asking which comics people would like to see accepted into the thread. This way shit strips like Videogame Cats which get a lot of attention (because Ferrio's bored I guess) could get veto'd and previously unnamed ones could get involved.

I haven't discussed this with any of the mods or admins, but I think it sure as hell would beat what we've got now.

Thank you. "Ten" is the only way to say it. And "ten-two", however retarded-sounding, is your only choice for X-2. The amusing ones are the people who argue that it's a matter of preference.

Brilliant comic. It captures the cliche of 'junior members' being unseasoned in their preferred hobby. In factuality they are just unseasoned in the forum's clique.

This is a great idea. I'd actually check the comics more this way, and I wouldn't have the first 15 responses underneath helping me figure out how I feel about the strip. Simply enjoy them without the immediate nausea aftermath.

I liked this one a lot. Partly because it's midly amusing and secondly because I went through nearly the exact same conversation a few weeks back. Kids these days are impressive.

I hate it when people refer to good games incorrectly and snob on consumer choice. If your taste in RPGs is so damn supreme I'm sure you could have made a suggestive sale to go with FFX or FFX-2.

There was a store in NYC called Game Express where one of the sales person was well known for his idiotic rants whenever someone bought a game he "disagreed" with. I swear, the store lost about 80% of it's business, and for a locally owned operation, it cost them a LOT. They ended up closing down due to being bought out so the space could be used for new apartments, but I have to wonder how much the sudden loss of business played into that decision.

I thought this was a good one. And I like the PA threads since I'd never remember to go on my own and this makes it where I dont have to. Hurray.

"Annarchy" Nice.

There's a rumor our own Patrick Klepeck got into E3 when he was like 14 while being stuffed into Lagi's pocket.

I thought the implication that he was going to kidnap and rape the girl was pretty funny.

Hey, don't project your own sick fantasies into the comic.

It's hardly my projection. See the desperate look in his eyes, the way he suddenly grabs her by the shoulders, the question about whether or not she'll fit in a suitcase. The sudden revelation of the girl's devoted gaming habits has made her much more attractive. Tycho's relationship with his only friend has deteriorated thanks to marriage and the arrival of a new baby, and the depths of an unsocialized loser's lonely depravity finally become manifest.

Pretty hilarious, when you think about it.

:lol :lol border

I love these overly analytical thoughts into mundane events. You can produce some pretty crazy and plausible circumstances.
