Help!!
Well I put together my new PC yesterday. But it won't install windows. It formats and then stops when copying files. "Cannot copy such and such file press esc to continue F3 to quit" or whatever. So I try to continue and it gives me that same message for five more system files, but it's always the same files each time. Swap out cdrw for one from other PC same thing happens. Cleaned disc, no go. SO I put the old cdrw back in my old PC and it installed windows just fine, that rules out the drive and the disc. I am at a loss, it's just bizarre.
Everything is detected in BIOS. Cpu humming at 38c, good voltage. I highly suspect the RAM or mobo atm. *sighs*
Specs:
Asus K8V
A64 3000+
512MB Kingston valueram PC3200
Sapphire 9600XT
Sony CD-RW
Seagate Barracuda IV 40GB
Vantec Stealth 520W
