The X2 Datel battery has a capacity of 3600mah.
Anyone used that battery?
I think the price is the same as this new Sony one.

Jeez, I have a $100 extra battery for my laptop and it lasts 4x longer than the standard issue. You don't get much for this price.

Finally. Man, with one more battery update PSP battery life is gonna be pretty damn competent for what it offers.

So wasn't the firmware capping of PSP's true power based off battery life? I wonder how much of an increased battery life Sony is waiting for before they remove the cap.

I'd grab it as my second back-up battery, but that's if I even needed one. For most of the time I use the PSP, nope, don't need it.

Well it's not really capped by it's firmware, it's just a requirement for all current PSP game development.

What's the consensus on batt life for the PSP? I haven't read many complaints since launch. Anyone finding it to be a problem? 20% seems like an almost worthless upgrade. I'm sure there are better 3rd party upgrades, like that 3600mAh batt. What's the battery life on that thing like? PEACE.

It ranges from ok to acceptable, and I've only run out of battery life a few times since owning. But it can definitely use a boost by a good three hours.
