SPOILER WARNING!

These have been making their way around the net. The first one, we saw a low-res one of already.

The second one was revealed pretty recently.

Looks Gladiator-ish with the two light-saber decapitation
It also mirrors Jedi, with Palpatine sitting their grinning.

Discuss.

EDIT: I edited most of my posts so that those "x"s don't show up anymore.

This may be a stupid question, but how can these be spoilers, and why are Star Wars fans so afraid of spoilers for this movie? Are you going to be shocked when
Anakin evolves into Darth Vader?

Yeah, you know the end result but the path is something that is still not entirely clear. If someone told me what happened in the "young Vito Corleone" parts of Godfather 2, and I didn't want to hear it prior to seeing it, I'd be pretty steamed about it.

I think the spoilers are for Anakin owning Dooku within
the first 15 minutes of the film, as seen the second shot as Dooku has no hands :D

These have been going around as well and I assume from the same person at MF:

man that space battle shot looks awesome.

Seems like Ep 3 will Bring the Jaw-drop back to star wars.

Maybe then everyone will remember thats why they loved the originals.

See, now this is about the only thing that really excites me with Episode III: the prospect of another big honkin' space battle a la RotJ.

Still doesn't mean I'm going to see it, though.

I'm with ya on this. Thats probably the reason why i've gone to both midnight showings of EPI 1 & 2 and then been disapointed with them. I want a freaking space battle. Fuck has there ever been a movie with a fucking huge ass, full scale space war? No and thats what i hope we get to see in EPI 3 finally.

Looks exciting and it shall finally be over once and for all.

That brings up an interesting point...who would win in a fight between Young Vito and Young Darth Vader? I say Vito would fuck shit up, but thats just me.

I pretty much figured that Anakin would have to kill Doku. I don't think these pictures spoil too much, unless you don't know much about Star Wars. What I was wondering, though, is what happens to Amidala. Any thoughts?

Do you really want to know?

Here's what happens:
Anakin has gone to Mustafar, a volcano planet to take care of the remaining Separatists. He's already gone buck-wild on the Jedi Temple, and essentially made most of his turn to the Dark Side. He also had met with Padme prior to going saying he serves Palpatine giving his warped logic to justify his actions; (Jedi are corrupt, Mace was gonna kill Palpatine, etc.) although he does keep her in the dark about quite a few things (i.e. storming the temple, the Younglings, etc.) He also tells her that he's gonna take care of business and be back.

Obi-Wan after a series of other events meets with Padme. Padme doesn't really trust him, but Obi-Wan reveals all, how Anakin went psycho, and Padme starts freaking out and tells Obi-Wan where Anakin went. Obi goes, and Padme sneaks on board.

Padme reveals to Obi-Wan that she went with him, by this time Anakin has killed the Separatists. She convinces him to let him talk to him. He allows it; she goes and talks to Anakin. It almost seems like she talks some sense into Anakin, but then he spots Obi-Wan, thinks Padme has betrayed her, gets REALLY pissed, and force-chokes her (and possibly slams her against the wall) too. Obi jumps in to break his concentration, begin THE DUEL.

Apparently Padme dies soon after giving birth to the twins (Leia first, then Luke.)

Degrees of ARC:
The mighty Incom/Subpro Aggressive ReConnaissance starfighter (ARC-170) has an impressive wingspan of 22.85 meters, is armed with two medium laser cannons, two aft blaster cannons, six proton torpedoes and carries a crew of three plus an astromech droid.

This is also a finished FX shot of General Grievous. The only thing is that the lighting and resolution is off and should look alot better in the finished product:

At the beginning of the movie, Palpatine has been "captured" by the Separatists (not really since he's coordinating everything.) The ship is over Coruscant, where the huge-ass space battle takes place. Lots of Capital on Capital ship action. Anyways, Anakin and Obi eventually make their way into the main Separatist Capital ship, where they find Dooku "holding" Palpatine. Obi and Anakin get separated (probably because Obi engages Grievous) and Anakin faces Dooku alone. Meanwhile, the ship is definitely getting rocked and is in the process of falling into the Coruscant atmosphere, on fire. (that moment in the trailer with the ship on fire, and the "firefighter ship" spraying water on it, is what happens when all is said and done.)

Anakin's definitely beefed up, and ends up cutting off both hands of Dooku. Dooku then kneels in front of Anakin, as Anakin takes his and Dooku's saber, and at the behest of Palpatine, decapitates him, "Gladiator-style."

What still needs to be seen is how Dooku reacts when he realizes Palpatine's betrayed him, etc.

The digital Dooku in the second shot looks eh, good thing it's only there for a couple frames.

What makes you think it's digital? The no hand effect can easily be attained without making him entirely digital.

His head is digital. It's easy to spot these days. Especially how it looks like he has no neck.

He's digital in that shot because that picture is
just a few frames before his head is chopped off.

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
The first 15-20 minutes of this movie are going to be sweet. I don't know about the rest of it, but I'm certainly amped for the opening.

I don't really think Dooku's head looks weird at all. I think it's more of an illusion due to his newly stumpy arms. It makes his proportions look very odd (and that he appears to be in the process of kneeling), but otherwise, it looks okay to me. Just looks like his head is drawn in a little, but people can do that naturally, and I figure it works for the scene.

Well then here's some screenshots and artwork I have in regards to the opening space battle :D

Oh, and just to make it perfectly clear:

Yoda DOES NOT FART.

Well he might; hell he might be lactose intolerant and after a night of cheese and wine find himself with explosive diarrhea, but at least in Episode 3, he will NOT fart.

This has been verified (not hinted at; VERIFIED) by the P.R. guy for Lucasfilm who answers questions from the fans every couple months or so.

Lucas is such a bitch. He bows to all the fan pressure, even when it's right (like Yoda farting!), but he bends over backwards to accomodate everyone and just ends up fucking up everything.

I think at this rate, if he's going to ruin Star Wars, he should just swing for the fences.

Well, so far he's a.)Has Greedo shooting first b.) introduce Jar Jar Binks. c.)Does not kill Jar Jar Binks. d.)introduces Qui-Gon Jinn as Obi-Wan's teacher, not Yoda. e.)Has Hayden in Return of the Jedi

While I do like Qui-Gon Jinn, and I don't mind Hayden being in Jedi all that much (what bugs me the most is the "copy and paste" job) He might as well as had Yoda farting in Episode III. There are things, like this that he will go so far as to change to everyone's liking (or DISLIKE for that matter), and yet, in THX-1138 he leaves the nudity AND puts in this crazy ass masterbation machine in the movie. Lucas leaves me going "?" all the damn time.

By the way....has Lucasfilm commented on the GREEN lightsaber in A New Hope yet?

All Jedi are initially trained by Yoda, they showed this in AOTC. Yoda trains the Younglings before they are given to a Jedi.

Yes, I know....but it leaves me unsatisfied. Bah, ah well....it's a minor thing, it's something I can live with.

You pretty much prove my point.

He's ammended the Greedo scene in the DVD release to - once again! - "please" the fans. He introduced Jar Jar Binks, which I'm sure he thought was a franchise character, only to minimalize him in Episode II because he wanted to - once again! - "please" the fans. 'C' is crazy and he wouldn't do that. That's just silly fanboy thinking and he's done about the next best thing in making him a meaningless character now to "please" the fans. As for 'D', he put in that little scene where Yoda teaches all the kids to show that Yoda teaches all Jedi at one point. Why? To "please" the fans upset that Episode I seemingly contradicted the original trilogy. And I'm sure with the outrage that 'E' brought, it will be fixed, removed or altered in an upcoming edition to - once again! - "please" fans.

George Lucas does nothing but react to fans. He is just a walking disaster.

WHICH HE TOOK OUT. WHY? TO "PLEASE" THE FANS.

Lucas is just a trainwreck. He mades retarded creative decisions, tries to fix them because the fans hurt his ego, ends up fucking everything even more and in the end has nothing but a dwindling Star Wars fanbase to show for it.

There was a time where Star Wars was the king of pop culture. Now, getting someone to admit to liking Star Wars is like asking someone to announce they have herpes.

Nsync were there for his daughter... i guess when you can, paying humans to make the human you made (kinda) happy isnt such a big thing. he saived us from them didnt he?

Am I the only one that thinks the CG shots look pretty bad? Doku's head has a plastic look to it and the space battle scenes just look "meh" to me. You'd exepct Lucas to make top notch effects at least.

The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
I like the fact that it mirrors Jedi... storywise you can imagine that is why the emperor is so sure that things proceed according to plan.... as the son defeated the previous 2nd, the son in Jedi looks to repeat the pattern.... I likes....

Can we try not to act like the nerdy fanboys we are? Any still from a sci-fi movie takes the risk of looking fake because it's not real! I'm sure once you see the film in motion you won't think as much.

I was thinking the same thing. Is this movie going to be run side by side with advertisements for the new gaming platforms? Maybe they're showing off the video game at the same time as the movie.

Yeah, I always thought that was them. Everyone kept saying they were taken out, so I didn't know what to think. (Plus, I don't actually know what the nsync guys look like, so it's hard for me to be sure it's them :p)
