<----------- I'm totally serious.

Ok then what was a "joke" is now blossomed into just a dumb post. Nice trick!

There is no such thing as "too violent for a handheld game" Repeat that to yourself at night.

Portable GTA seems like an obvious and perfect match to me. The only concerns I might have are be the tightness/flexibility of the controls and the depth of the radio/soundtrack.

Uhm, he was being sarcastic. Basically, his point was, how could anyone with a Leatherface avatar possibly think something is too violent?

custom soundtracks = lots o depth, in that case.

Yanni's #1 (re: only) fan? Load up a ms with your favorite rockin Yanni tunes.
Can only get into the killing mood while listening to Slayer? Go for it.

I'm a classic rock whore, so it'll be zep, the who, srv, cream, etc for me

Please back out of this thread...
So, this is how you treat people disagreeing with you... how nice of you. I´m not interested at all in Nintendogs, and if you´ve ever seen me talking about this pet simulator, then please, link me to the post where I did it.

I don´t like GTAs, they are filled with things to do, but they all feel broken. Bad camera, clunky controls, graphical issues... So, I don´t understand why people like this game series. Am I in the minority, ok, no problem, I´m not going to change my opinion just because more people think the other way, it´s all a matter of tastes, not an absolute truth. To the one saying I´m in the minority, I´d like to ask him/her if he enjoys the most listened music, or if he/she likes the most seen films better.

Coming in to a thread about a specific product you don't like and then voicing that you don't like the product tends to make people wonder about the thought process you used to come to the conclusion that you should come tell folks you don't like the product... some might see it as a soft troll... others just don't see what the f'n point is and feel it's a waste of time.

Personally if I don't like a game... I stay out of that games' threads.

Looks great, and I'm probably still buying it, but realistically I don't know how much I'm going to enjoy it in a portable format, sleep mode or not.

The GTA series are the kind of games you typically invest hours of play in a sitting to enjoy. At least that's how it always worked out for me. I don't turn on GTA:SA unless I have at least an hour of free time, just because that's how long the play sessions always turn out.

Still, I've heard they've tweaked the missions to make them shorter and more "portable friendly." Guess we'll see how it works out.

On the plus side, it'll probably end up being the "default game" that you always keep in the PSP so that if you're ever stuck in a long boring situation, you *know* you'll have hours of time wasting entertainment at hand at any time.

I hope they keep the ability to listen to the radio stations on the pause/options menu. That way I can have the music, the chat station and the radio ads on the go.

My chain of thoughts was: someone lent me GTA san andreas just some days ago, I´ve been playing it and thinking in writing a "late to the party topic". I see a topic with the GTA motto, and I tell my opinion.

The only thing I'm a little worried about is the map. I had a hard time seeing the tiny map in GTA:SA and it made some things a little more frustrating then they should have been. And the big map in the pause menu took too long to load. Probably will be the same way on the small PSP screen.

Hopefully they finally give you a simple restart mission screen after failing. Don't want to waste time driving across town to restart a mission after doing a reload at the last save point to keep your guns.

i dont think you have to worry much about the map if you've played GTA3...

as for restarting a mission, i heard that they brought back the quick-retry mission thingy from San Andreas

I disagree. The mission structure that GTA has always had is ideal for portable play. Most of the missions range from about 5-15 minutes tops.

BTW has custom soundtracks been confirmed? Just got my 2Gig stick.

Multiplayer dood! Not to mention I think the casual play style lends itself perfectly to any length of handheld gaming be it 5 min of havoc or an hour long session of mission, it's pick up and play. I really wonder about the loading tho, still this game is going to be a PSP killer app. I'd say the best part is they tinker with the multi now and then can expand and improve upon it for the next console release. Also does this support custom soundtrack on a duo or anything like that cause if so that's even better cause I can listen to tunes while I play!

Can someone link me to an article explaining the way the multiplayer mode will work? I haven't seen or heard anything of it. Oh, and are there any pics with actual pedestrians? I know the history of GTA pics, but this being a handheld still has me a little worried. For the record, this is the game that will make me get a PSP. It should be thr start of something good really. But I don't know if I can stomach that $250 value pack. Maybe $199 if we ever get a Retard Pack over here. :lol PEACE.

How did the quick retry work in San Andreas? It's been awhile so my memory is a little foggy. I only remember the taxi deal with Vice City, which I thought worked perfectly.

i believe that if you failed a mission, you could go back and skip all the cinematics/tutorials or any long trips (like if the mission started at Smoke's house, but you had to drive all the way to the other side of town to start it, you could skip the car ride IIRC)
