I think it might be the season finale for both shows. Anyhow...

Scrubs 4x24 - My Drive-By

When Turk saves a man's life at a local taco stand, he tries to keep his ego in check as Dr. Cox takes all of the credit.

The Office 1x06 - Hot Girl

An attractive woman's arrival has the male staff members vying for her attention.

Season finale for The Office, I'm sure about that.

This is the second to last episode for Scrubs. The season finale airs on May 10th.

I'm afraid to ask, but is this the scheduled season finale for the office? or are they pulling the plug early?

Scheduled. It was just given a six episode trial run as a midseason replacement.

The Office is really good, and I hope to hell it gets picked up for next season as well. Not only is it funny (debatable to some people), but the relationships are also emotionally resonant.

"Wow, you're like a new and improved version of Pam!" :lol

It was pretty awesome seeing Michael hit on that girl through the whole episode.....so was the car cleaning.

"How many Filet-O-Fishes did you eat?"

Yeah the car cleaning was awesome.

"Blue isn't a flavor."
"The labels says...Blue Blast."
"Oh Blue Blast!"

:lol

And that "Just do it" comment made me spit my drink out. The face he made was just classic.

Pick any single episode of the British "Office," and you'll find more laughs than in the entire run of the US series so far. That being said, it did make me chuckle a few times, but it is unbelievable to me how terrible the Michael Scott character is. He's a complete joke and completely ruins the series for me. Side note: did anyone notice that Amy Heckerling directed this episode?

Scrubs, on the other hand, was great, as always.

This episode of Scrubs was undoubtedly the best of the season, and that's because it was more like the earlier seasons and lacked all the major slapstick crap.

The Office rocked. I loved the little conversation between Jim, Pam and Roy at lunch. Good times.

A friend of mine said that The Office was horrible. Just a complete shameless rip off of the british version.

Only in concept. Every episode has been totally original, except for the pilot.

I really hope The Office gets another 'round of episodes. It's grown on me. Each new episode has been funnier than the last. The writing's better than a lot of the sitcoms that the networks have been pushing lately, so why not give it another 6-12 episodes? Besides, they just started getting into a really interesting plot point... :)

Scrubs was brilliant as usual, and The Office continues to grow on me. I was still unsure about the show but the last two episodes were great. I hope they continue it.

That's because Arrested Development is on Sundays...well...was on Sundays.

I'm going to miss that show...but Scrubs is awesome, too!

It used to be Scrubs > AD, but then when the middle of the 3rd season of Scrubs hit, it went down, and then AD took the throne.

Scrubs is NOT what it used to be...I still can't wait to see tonight episode...

Who do you think will be leaving?

I agree. It's doesn't have the funniest material but I 'm hooked on the characters. Which is crazy since its a 30-min sitcom.

Lets not argue between AD and Scrubs. There's plenty of room to love both.

AD + Scrubs = all you need for comedy

I didn't mean to argue, I was just saying what I feel.

I guess I'm still saddened by the fact that Scrubs just isn't what it was the first two seasons (and the first half of the third season).

Got to download both...

Agreed. And I've decided to quit wasting my time trying to explain why.

I still watch it, mind you, but I don't go out of my way to, a la AD.

Alright, I'm really beginning to love The Office. Carell's character still bothers me at times, but I'm rolling when it works. And the rest of them never fail to make me laugh. That bit with Dwight and the purses was awesome - great, great material.

But my favourite part...

Do I have a special someone? Uh, well, yeah. Of course. A bunch of them. My employees. *smiles* If I had to choose between a one-night stand with some stupid cow I pick up at a bar and these people, I'd pick them every time. Because with them, it is an... every day stand. And I still know their names in the morning. *smiles*
Carell's awkward delivery made it much funnier than it should have been. :)

It's gotten to the point where the last few Office's have been much better than the last few Scrubs. It's a shame that it's not looking good for the Office to get renewed. I guess we'll know in a month hopefully.

That would fucking suck if they don't renew The Office.
I work a few blocks away from NBC, maybe i should start planning something to do to them just in case....

The Office is funnier than Scrubs. FACT. I know.

I'm pretty sure The Office will be renewed. A lot of people are watching it. A lot of my friends ask me on Wednesdays if I caught The Office last night. We all can relate to crap in the show. yep.

The American version of The OFfice isn't nearly as funny as Scrubs. Fact. It barely deserves to have the name The Office considering how good the British version is, but still I usually get a few chuckles out of it each week. If it weren't renewed, I wouldn't miss it, but I'd probably continue to watch if it came back.

I thought I read somewhere that The Office's ratings were not that great, and pretty disappointing for NBC. It's also been skewered by most critics. It's certainly not a sure thing to return.

it's based on the British show. What did you expect?

And, IMO, the problem is that the writing isn't very good, but the characters are excellent. I don't know what the quality of the writing is in the British version, but it wouldn't be hard to beat this one. The thing that makes this show funny is how the actor's all play into the awkward-office relationship stereotypes. The funniest episode was the basketball one, where the characters were just acting out their roles.

I actually think the Office is quite good and very funny. It's not one of my favorite shows on TV right now, but it's quickly going up the list.. :)

I have never seen the original British series, so I guess maybe that's why I like it so much... there's no bias coming on when watching it.. that probably helps, eh? :D

I got the first season of the UK The Office, and so far I'm not enjoying it as much as the US one.

*dodges rocks*

I know, I know, I guess I'm so used to Carrel's portrayal, that the UK guy comes off as kind of weak. It's bizarre, and I have to strain my ears to understand what they're saying half the time, they talk so fast, and so awkwardly.

But I have laughed a couple times (i've only seen the first two), and the "Dwight" character is hideous!!! Hahaha...

And I like Pam better than Dawn!

Scrubs is just mildly amusing. For every joke that works in an episode, there are about 10 that fall flat or are totally pointless.

The Office rules because it mimics the real american office so perfectly. The awkardness and silence most of the people have around the boss because they think he's a tool or have nothing in common with him is true to life. And of course, there is the one suck up wannabe, which is also true to life. The last episode was easily the best of the bunch. Sucks that it was the last as the show was just getting rolling.

I don't like the British Office AT ALL.
I just don't find British humor....humorous, except for Benny Hill and Bean.
When i think of Brits, i think sophisticated and perentious characters like James Bond and Sherlock Holmes....

Both the American version and the British version of The Office are good. The British version is infinitely better of course, but both are still amusing. Funnier than Scrubs anyway...

I loved the British version of the Office. Although the boss in the new one isn't as good, I still think it's a hilarious show. But anyone know for sure if that is the season finale for Scrubs?

If you read the thread, you'd see that there's one more episode of Scrubs that airs May 10th ;)
