new Seiken Densetsu CoM jump scans

I know most of those are non-combat scene pics but jebus does that ever look good.

Does that first picture have the first we've seen of the second screen? Looks like the touch screen is displaying weapons that can be assigned to buttons... but there are two sets of identical weapons? Possibly for different characters, but then it wouldn't make sense to have nothing displaying that, or to have an X button for one character and A for another.

DS?it seems to be a bit too good no?
It's just sprites.

Care to enlighten me........please.....

This is a DS game. It was already said that some areas would use prerendered backdrops instead of tiled areas like in most of the action screens we've seen.

CoM is the DS game. SD4 is the PS2 game.

I already know that, but the difference in some of the shots is ridiculous, in one shot it looks like the snes version and in the others it looks like psx one....

That's the difference between prerendered and tiled. I just said that, didn't I?

OMG! :O

That may be prerendered, but it looks beautiful.

2D game, in a general way, uses pre-renders CGs or sprites.

This game will be a fabulous 2D game for DS. This more FFIII, ASH, Magical vocations 2, Rune Factory, Contact, Iron Feather and other, will make a good lineup from 2D RPGs for NDS.

yes, i was just stating that, it wasnt my attention saying that it was not for DS just because it looked better than most games in the gfx department...

I don't see anything that could be defined as pre-rendered in those screenshots.

I see 2d tiled sprites for most of the dungeon layouts and field areas and I see hand-drawn backgrounds for the town scenes and other special areas.

Hand-drawn backdrops do not equal pre-rendered backdrops. Two completely different techniques.

Man, japanese mags are really pimping this game out.

well, i can see why, heh.

It has been confirmed this is NOT online, right?

Seems to me the two sets are simply for two different buttons. That way you just tap whichever on the right you want to assign to A and the same for the X on the left. No doubt it's that bit quicker than setting it up with just one symbol for each weapon.

holeee shite, did everyone saw the second scan? the picture with the big shrine/castle in the horizon? holy fuck that is just... wow :O
