New SFV Datamined Information...Arcade Mode maybe found?

If they are indeed adding arcade mode I hope they have character endings with the high quality art SFV is known for

This thread is already dead?

QUICK SOMEBODY SHIT ON CAPCOM!

SFV IS SHIT

IT WAS INCOMPLETE GARBAGE

EVERY FIGHTING GAME SHOULD COME WITH 62 CHARACTERS, 91 STAGES, 17.8 MODES, AND PAY HALF OF OF MY MORTGAGE

Maybe they're playing other fighting games...

*checks other FG threads

Nope not there.

It better be free.

Capcom charging for so much stuff in this game and FM earning is too slow especially for more casual players

Any examples of him doing any good art recently (anywhere)?

It would suck if he actually lost his edge.

He changed his artstyle somewhere around MvC2. I haven't liked the proportions he uses since around then, but obviously something is going on in SF5 since it's so terribad.

In the game as it stands now, how solid is the AI?

When I played closer to launch, the computer opponents were weirdly bad. Like, it felt like stand-in development AI for game testing, but nothing more.

Street Fighter V is a pretty great game that came in an underwhelming package and I'm glad they've continued to support it.

That said, how the fuck isn't Arcade mode in the game yet?

That seems like one of the easier things to implement. Just take the survival mode, give a random opponent and stage each round, and make sure to heal the player back to 100%. Crimeny.

Pretty decent on the medium difficulty levels, stupid when you go higher and they turn in to input reading cheaters.

It's the Ibuki one that sells it. 100% confirmed real.

For all of those guys along for a Cliffnotes version, I made one yesterday.

I'd also like to add to this based on what I've been told by a certain member of this forum (that I won't name unless he's cool with it). Just note that everything here is a rumor, not a leak, especially as development seems to be very... volatile.

- Extra Battle has evolved into more of a challenge mode than just a series of fights. Arcade mode, Extra Battle, and "Dan's Dojo" all exist. That's the same chime coming from two different sources (3 if you count Capcom on the Arcade part).
- While both say a pre-match option exists, they differ in what it is exactly. Kira thinks it's related to V-mechanics, but the other guy says it's multiple CAs/Supers.
- The arcade version of the game is likely to launch with or around S3. It'll have full CFN integration, which might be a big reason the official website had a huge update recently.

🤔

Beyond getting some stages & costumes right (I think that he called what would be the Sports costumes for Rashid, Laura, & Ibuki, but I may be mistaken), X-Kira isn't the most trustworthy person out there.

That's not to say that we won't ever get any of these, but rather that we shouldn't take this as confirmation.

They still haven't added dlc characters to fight against in survival mode.

Which is why I said he's like 50-50. Everything Sneaks said seems to coincide with it, tho.

I will only return to SFV when Arcade mode is a reality.

Just a straight up traditional and expected Arcade mode. That's all I want when I don't want to play Online.

Survival and Story are not fun. We just want a regular Arcade Mode with Difficulty Settings.

Bengus fucking sucks. Beyond the rushed nature of his drawings, his interpretation of SFV's female cast is just trash. Where Shinkiro at. :|

X-Kira also leaked the season 2 trials, and a lot of people thought he somehow made those up.

Japanese arcade release would be huge.

Arcade mode at home I couldn't care less, but at least the rubberneckers will have to whine about something else.

I think that what'll make or break Arcade Mode are two things:

1. If it's well implemented:
Like a traditional arcade modes, 8-12 fights, multiple difficulties, random intro and/or ending. Or even no intro/endings, but enough fights and difficulty options.

Or like Tekken 7, which is just a few fights and a game over screen (Tekken 7 is 3 fights, 2 bosses and that's it). The excuse of Tekken lies in that there's a separate mode eith the individual endings (i.e..a bad one at tbat too, since it's just 1 fight and an ending) ...and since SFV already has a similar mode, who knows.

2. Been able to earn Fight Money:
Even if it's just a really small amount, people would need to earn something for playing it multiple times. Unless there are many options.

It's a year too late

SF5 has sold an additional 100,000 copies during EACH of the two recent quarters according to their financial reports. This is for a year old game that 'everybody hates' and has NO arcade mode.

The game is constantly getting television exposure, now with a weekly television show on Disney XD (also overall EVO viewership for SF5 was the highest ever just a few weeks ago).

It's not too late at all.

Lack of Arcade mode is something people have been very vocal about and seems like one of the easiest complaints to address. It's like the lowest hanging fruit. Puzzling they still haven't added it after all this time.

We'll probably have to unlock it with Fight Money, and we can count on GAF to post condescending threads about how it's not that bad and actually if you just do everyone's everything and then grind for a few months you'll have it easy peasy. 5000 FM per week brahs!!!

Yeah, their handling of Story Mode was atrocious and painful. Capcom doesn't get that people just want a Vanilla Arcade Mode like you said of 8-12 Fights (including a Boss) with the ability to Turn-Off the Bonus Stage. The Ending can just be two or three drawings by a GOOD artist, not this hack from SF4-SFV, his art sucks
Bengus has been phoning it in for a decade lmao. I didn't even like the SFAA cover art.
I hate Bengus, he represents the WRONG SIDE of Street Fighter art and embodies the Alpha/Zero dark side

V-system changes would be most exciting to me. New v-triggers, skills and reversals could really help some of the weaker characters like Alex, Fang and Juri.

Now you're just pulling made up situations out of your ass to be mad about.

And people say nobody is blindly hating SFV and everybody is being objective.

It legitimately blows my mind that Arcade Mode isn't in SFV. What is going through the minds of those in control at Capcom? In what way does it make sense not to include it? It has to be one of the easiest parts of developing a fighting game. Hell, I feel like I could program the damn thing.

Maybe Capcom wants to put more effort than none at all into it.

Or maybe it will be free like all previous modes. And how is stating that you get bunch of FM by actually playing the game condescending?

Complaining about condescension while saying some dumb shit. I can't imagine why anyone would be condescending towards all the people with uninformed snarky hot takes on all things SFV.

Capcom has never charged for additional modes or features in SFV.

It'll cost 40,000 FM
Lol good one bro
